The chaotic world of Borderlands 4 unleashes this week on September 12 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the looter shooter releasing on October 3. However, you may be confused about which edition of the game to purchase.
An action-packed adventure is guaranteed, no matter which edition you select, but let’s take a look at all the goodies the three editions include to make your choice easier.
All Borderlands 4 Editions Breakdown

Borderlands 4 features three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe. All the editions include the base game and the Pre-Order Bonuses (if you pre-order). The Standard Edition costs $69.99, and players who pre-order it will receive the Gilded Glory Pack, which comprises 1 Vault Hunter skin, 1 Weapon Skin, and 1 ECHO-4 Drone Skin.
The Deluxe Edition costs $99.99, and apart from the base game and the Gilded Glory Pack, this edition features the Firehawk’s Fury Weapon Skin and the Bounty Pack Bundle, which includes:

- 4 Vault Cards with special challenges and rewards
The Bounty Pack is comprised of Post-Launch Content, and while it doesn’t have sizeable narrative DLCs, it still adds a lot to the base game. Which Borderlands 4 Edition Should You Get?

Now we arrive at the $70 question: which Borderlands 4 edition should you purchase? If you’re fine with the base game only, then the Standard Edition is the way to go. Alternatively, you can meet in the middle and opt for the Deluxe Edition for $99.99, which includes extra cosmetic goodies and the Bounty Pack Bundle.
You should purchase the Super Deluxe Edition of Borderlands 4 for $129.99 only if you’re a massive diehard fan of the Borderlands series and want to experience everything that the upcoming instalment has to offer. Otherwise, you can just go for the Standard Edition and still enjoy the explosive and disorderly fun of Borderlands 4 without spending a fortune.
As mentioned above, all the individual content packs included with the Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions of the game will be available for purchase separately after the game launches this week, so you can always get them later. Additionally, Gearbox has confirmed that Borderlands 4 will receive free updates, so it all boils down to your preferences.
