The new UGC (User-Generated Content) system is going to blend Genshin Impact’s artistic charm with the open-ended creativity of Roblox and Fortnite Creative. Here’s everything you need to know before Miliastra Wonderland releases later this month.
Everything You Need to Know About Miliastra Wonderland in Genshin Impact
At its core, Miliastra Wonderland is Genshin Impact’s answer to the UGC revolution. Using the new Miliastra Sandbox, you’ll be able to design unique mini-games and domains across dozens of genres. It can be anything from battle royales and party games to management sims, roguelikes, and PvP arenas.

The creation system features visual scripting tools, kind of like Unreal Engine’s logic trees, so it should be more accessible even for players without programming experience. Once you complete the Archon Quest Prologue: “The Outlander Who Caught the Wind”

From there, you’ll be greeted by Manekins, which are fully customizable avatars that represent each traveler’s will within this alternate dimension. Kind of like a Sim if you want a reference. Every player can design their own Manekin or Manekina, customizing everything from hairstyles and clothing to accessories, makeup, and even facial features.
One unexpected thing is that the Manekins won’t be confined to the Wonderland. HoYoverse confirmed they can be used to explore Teyvat itself, making them the first fully customizable playable characters in the game’s history. The developers also promise “hundreds” of stages at launch.
Customization, Monetization, and the Future of Genshin’s UGC
While the creative freedom is exciting, Miliastra Wonderland will also come with new systems of progression, cosmetics, and creator rewards that will be a great expansion of Genshin’s ecosystem and core gameplay.
Each Manekin can be outfitted with elaborate costumes, some obtainable through quests, crafting blueprints, or the new Battle Pass system (“Awakening Chronicle”), while others will appear in limited-time outfit banners known as Encounter Echoes. These banners will use a new in-game currency called Geodes of Replication or Odes, earned through Wonderland activities, events, and challenges.

Much like Genshin Impact’s existing gacha system, the Miliastra banners will rotate themed cosmetics, with rarities ranging from 2-star to 4-star. High-tier outfits, exclusive emotes, and stickers can also be gifted or traded among players.
HoYoverse also plans to launch a Creator Earnings System, allowing talented designers to earn rewards based on how many players engage with their stages. While the monetization framework won’t be fully implemented until Version 6.3 (Luna IV), HoYoverse has confirmed that player creators will eventually receive in-game or possibly real-world compensation.
Genshin Impact Version 6.1 Luna II launches globally on October 22, 2025, for PlayStation, PC, and mobile devices. Will you be checking out the new UGC? Let us know in the comments!
