Wednesday star Catherine Zeta-Jones is a big fan of an Indian actor. Our very own Morticia Addams loves to watch a Bollywood musical drama, Om Shanti Om, which stars a renowned and popular actor and film producer, Shah Rukh Khan. Known by his initials, SRK, his film stands strong with 80% Rotten Tomatoes score.
But, wait, there’s a little backstory to this. A Reddit post took the internet by storm when a Bollywood fan account posted Jones’ Instagram story, which seemingly took a dig at President Donald Trump. She was watching the Indian film while waiting for the event in her car.

Catherine Zeta-Jones Recalls How Steven Spielberg Transformed Her Career

Catherine Zeta-Jones recently appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show, wherein she and Barrymore both reminisced about how the legendary filmmaker, Steven Spielberg, changed their careers for good.
In a preview clip shared, the two well-known and successful actors, Drew Barrymore and Zeta-Jones, shared a laugh, with the former saying,
I mean, The Mask of Zorro. Whoa, hello, somebody walked onto the stage and changed everything forever as we know it.
To this, Zeta-Jones replied, saying,
I remember being in the TV series of Titanic, which is not the Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet one, but it was okay. I needed the job. Steven Spielberg happened to be watching TV on a Sunday night and went, ‘Oh, who’s she? Maybe she should be good in Zorro.’ I get a call the next week [to] go and meet the director Martin Campbell.
For Catherine Zeta-Jones, it was The Mask of Zorro. For Drew Barrymore, Spielberg cast her in his 1982 film, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial by the director at the tender age of 7, kickstarting her now successful career.
Not only did Spielberg help heighten Zeta-Jones’ career, but the actor also credits the director for the film, as it made Michael Douglas, her husband, fall for her.

Zeta-Jones talked about portraying the relationship on screen and how it will come across in the already renewed Season 3. Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, she said,
It’s very modern issues in a very quirky, outcast-ish family. You never really see the Addams family around people who are not like them.
On one hand, the viewers come across Morticia’s care and tension for her daughter, which seems to be related to her sister Ophelia. On the other hand, the story turns dark when Wednesday attempts to go against her own mother.
This relationship between maternal care and misunderstandings is masterfully portrayed by both Zeta-Jones and Jenna Ortega. The upcoming season might be a showdown between Morticia’s traditional values and Wednesday’s dark, independent streak.
Parallely, with Ophelia’s entry, Wednesday Season 3 is presumed to be calamitous and deeper than it has been. With a lot of secrets kept, it will be a spectacle to watch how the Addams family grapples when every little detail comes to the forefront.
With Ophelia’s dark warning, can Morticia save Wednesday in Season 3? Drop your thoughts below.
Wednesday is available to stream on Netflix (US).
