Wednesday Season 2 opened with a chilling prophecy of Enid Sinclair’s death, and it will be Wednesday Addams’ fault, so the action and drama that followed had us all holding our breath for that highly anticipated—albeit much-dreaded—scene. What happened towards the end was even more shocking than a predicted death.
Enid’s story did not end after all, but her final scene opened up more exploration of her character as an Outcast for Season 3. After learning Wednesday’s premonition of her death and how her friend tried to save her life, Enid returned the favor and wolfed out to save Wednesday, who was buried alive under the Skull Tree.
Enid’s Alpha Werewolf Transformation and Other Plot Twists on Wednesday Season 2

In Season 2, viewers learned that the reason behind Enid’s late bloomer status is that she’s an Alpha werewolf. This breed is way stronger than regular werewolves, as they are emotionally volatile and unrestricted by lunar calendar cycles. Simply put, they can transform even without a full moon.
This is extremely dangerous and may even lead to Enid being ostracized by her pack, or worse, remain in her wolf form if she changes on a full moon. Throughout the show, we see her try to regulate herself by staying inside Nevermore’s Lupin cages and keeping calm in fear of turning into a werewolf, but she risked it all to save Wednesday in the final episode.
Enid might have never escaped death after all, as her transformation into a werewolf could suggest the death of her human self. She had always feared this day would come, since we know Enid thrives with a pack and does not really like being alone.
Wednesday showrunner Miles Millar told Netflix Tudum that fans should be worried for Enid: “It’s a big deal for Enid and getting out of this is going to be difficult.” The character has faced tremendous growth in Season 2, and with such a major plot twist happening in her storyline, we can only guess what happens to her in Season 3.
What Does Enid’s Final Scene Mean For Wednesday Season 3?

After Enid saved Wednesday from premature burial, she disappears into the woods, uncertain of what the future will bring. Fans would remember Enid telling Wednesday to come find her if she ever transforms into a werewolf, and after the final showdown, this seems to set up the stage for Season 3.
The mystery surrounding Enid still remains: is there a way to return to her human self, or is she truly lost to her wolf form? Will the prophecy about her death still carry on in the third saga? As Wednesday drives towards the north to find her friend, she’s also wondering which one she will meet—her old roommate or the beast that has taken over Enid.
