By Kevin Rodriguez 10/15/2025

Genshin Impact Version 6.1, titled Luna II, comes out on October 22, and the upcoming patch has some of the most stacked banners that we’ve seen in a while. Following the success of Version 6.0’s debut of Flins and the introduction of Nod Krai, the new update brings another new character from the new region and several reruns of beloved characters.

For the first half, HoYoverse is bringing Nefer, a new five-star Dendro Catalyst user, and the rerun of Furina. And in the second half, we’re getting reruns for Arlecchino and Zhongli. Here’s everything you need to know about the Version 6.1 banners, their release schedule, and which characters might be worth your pulls.

Version 6.1 will roll out on October 22, 2025, following Genshin’s regular six-week update cycle. The update will be split into two phases, with each half lasting around three weeks.

Which Genshin Impact 6.1 Characters Are Worth Pulling?

Nefer is the clear highlight of this update. As a Dendro Catalyst Main DPS, she specializes in Lunar-Bloom, a new Dendro reaction that transforms standard Bloom effects into more powerful Lunar effects. We’ve already seen some of it with Lauma, who came out in 6.0, and if you pulled her, you’ll want Nefer too.

Nefer’s playstyle rewards players who manage reactions efficiently, with teammates like Nahida, Yelan, and Baizhu being top synergy picks. If you enjoy reaction-heavy gameplay or want to invest in the latest Dendro mechanics, Nefer is a strong long-term pull.

Furina, on the other hand, is still one of Genshin Impact’s most universally valuable units. With her kit, she excels as both a damage buffer and off-field DPS. Her dual Ousia and Pneuma stances allow her to toggle between high damage output and team healing, making her compatible with nearly any team composition. If you missed her in previous banners, her rerun is one of the safest Primogem investments in the game.

As for phase 2, Arlecchino is still a fan favorite for those who prefer fast-paced, high-risk gameplay. Due to her kit, she cannot be externally healed, but compensates with immense scaling tied to her Bond of Life mechanic. She rewards precise timing and sustained aggression. If you enjoy characters like Hu Tao or Xiao, Arlecchino will fit your playstyle perfectly.

As for Zhongli, the Geo Archon, he continues to be the king of comfort. His massive shield, resistance shred, and petrify burst ability make him a great addition to any account. Even if you already have strong defensive options, Zhongli remains a luxury pick that simplifies exploration and boss fights alike.
