Top 5 Best Weapons in Megabonk That You Must Master to Dominate the Game

By James Garcia 10/09/2025

Megabonk features a diverse collection of weapons, which includes both defensive and offensive types. Sure, you can complete the game with any weapon as long as you make an effective build with them, but some stand out and take on enemies of all shapes and sizes, no matter how difficult they are. Here are the top 5 best weapons in Megabonk that you need to dominate every run.

5. Aegis

Aegis is a Defensive Shield that blocks attacks and counters them with devastating shockwaves as long as you have projectiles for it in Megabonk. It’s an ever-revolving shield that blocks all sorts of damage, but with the pros come the cons. It’s not useful in the Desert Stage since Anubis’ laser will take down your defenses pretty quickly.

Sometimes, damage may even seep through the shield, but even with its detriments, the Aegis still stands tall, rather revolves, as one of the best defensive weapons in the game that blocks attacks and hits back hard. Focus on Attack Speed and Quantity Tomes for this weapon to truly shine.

4. Katana

Katana is a speed-based Sharp Blade that targets the closest enemies and deals outstanding DPS in Megabonk. This weapon’s attack speed is incredibly high, with solid range, and it can hit up to 5 enemies with a single swing. Its critical strike potential is worthy of mention as well, and each slash can trigger critical hits that deal maximum damage.

Katana is best for a hit-and-run playstyle with high movement speed, as its Speed Scaling is truly phenomenal. The more speed you have, the faster you can slash enemies on the move. Pair Agility Tome and Crit Tome if you’re carrying this weapon, and you’re golden.

3. Flamewalker

Flamewalker is a top-tier meta weapon unlocked from the beginning of Megabonk that excels in clearing hordes of enemies using projectiles and deals continuous movement-based damage. Using Flamewalker leaves a fire trail behind you, setting enemies ablaze, and the damage inflicted from this weapon scales with your movement, so the more you move, the higher burn damage you can inflict.

Flamewalker works perfectly with any build in Megabonk. However, a movement and agility-based playstyle and build is recommended for the hottest results, burning enemies before they can even comprehend your position. Focus on increasing Attack Speed, and pair it with Cooldown or Quantity Tomes for faster and increased projectiles, respectively.

2. Bananarang

Bananarang in Megabonk is exactly what you’d expect from the name itself — Bananas that return to the sender, just like boomerangs. While the name sounds goofy, it shreds waves of enemies within seconds, hitting enemies in its path twice per throw during its trajectory and returning automatically to your position.

It’s the perfect ranged weapon, making quick work of targets in medium to long distances, and it’s excellent for crowd control. To use Bananarang effortlessly, pair it with Monke, as it’s his signature weapon, and his climbing abilities pave the way for more dynamic throws. When it comes to Tomes, prioritise Size and Speed for longer and faster throws, respectively.

1. Dexecutioner

Dexecutioner is by far the undisputed champion of weapons in Megabonk due to its incredibly high DPS, along with its execution capabilities. It’s swift, pierces through numerous targets in a single line without any damage falloff, and has a chance to execute enemies. One strike with Dexecutioner is enough to take down even the enemies with the highest health.

Its base damage is the highest of any weapon in Megabonk, so you can already imagine how easier your runs will be with Dexecutioner. While it shines incredibly bright on its own, equip it with Bandit (perfect synergy) for uninterrupted brutality, but it works perfectly with any character. For Tomes, Damage should be your go-to with Dexecutioner for unrivalled damage output.
