The Story so Far in Toilet-bound Hanako-Kun, and What Comes Next?
The previous episode began with Tsukasa telling Nene and Kou about him and Amane. The siblings were close when they were young, and often used to spend time with each other. Tsukasa would fulfill Amane’s wishes by trading off with the evil entity under their house. When Amane fell sick, he lashed out at Tsukasa out of jealousy.

Tsukasa took that well and simply sacrificed himself in return for Amane’s recovery. Kou got upset hearing this and told Tsukasa about how Amane killed himself at the age of 13. Before that, Amane had killed Tsukasa as well. Kou and Nene plan to bring Tsukasa back, but while they’re trying to escape, the Red House starts falling apart.
At the end, they escape the Red House, but Tsukasa chooses to stay behind, revealing his evil intentions. The episode had the most shocking twist, erasing the possibility that there are two Tsukasas. Toilet-bound Hanako-Kun season 2 episode 23 will pick up the story from here. Teru will probably try to find out more about the Red House and how it can help them discover the truth.
