Everything about To Be Hero X’s production exudes peak quality. And Episode 23 was no different from that. The inserted songs, soundtracks, the remarkable shift in animation style, and, of course, Ahu’s story arc, connecting to X, were all just too perfect.

Since the very first trailer for To Be Hero X dropped on both Bilibili and YouTube, fans have been eager to see this little dog hero in action. And as the season neared its finale, some even worried about whether we would get to meet him this time.

However, Episode 23 swept those worries away. Ahu’s hero introduction arc was almost perfect, emotional enough to leave viewers in tears. Despite being clowned upon in his early life, after a chance meeting with Xin, his life changed.

However, the highlight of this week’s To Be Hero X episode was surely the moment X made his grand appearance. Also, seeing how Nice was totally consumed by Treeman’s Mr. Shand was insightful enough. Furthermore, the ending of Episode 23 really hooked us for what’s to come in the next episode.

What Can We Expect From the To Be Hero X Season 1 Grand Finale?

How Episode 23 ended with a shot of Linling, whom fans have been waiting to see since Episode 4 of To Be Hero X, it seems the story will shift to the original timeline where The Commoner became a hero, after Nice’s death. With all the pieces already set in motion, we might see some major revelations in Episode 24.

Will we get to know more about X? Probably not, but it’s certain we’re going to see more of his standout moments in the anime from now on. Also, the art style may change once again for the season’s grand finale. With the Commoner in play now, this ending is guaranteed to be extra hype. Don’t you also think so?

To Be Hero X is currently available to watch on Crunchyroll with both English Subtitles and a Japanese Dub.
