After games like Forza Horizon 5 and Grounded joined the PlayStation lineup this year, one more Microsoft exclusive, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, might come to PS5 soon enough. This is going to be a rather shocking move, as this is happening before we have received an official release window for a heavily rumored Halo port.
The news comes from PPE‘s reliable informer, Graczdari, who reveals that a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 port on PS5 is next on the developer radar. Microsoft and Asobo Studio’s flight simulation experience feels just right on a Sony console.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Might Overtake Halo for a PS5 Release Window
As reported by Graczdari, Microsoft is planning to bring Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
Anyway, the alleged reports also suggest that a physical copy of this flight simulator will be available for purchase at launch. This is another surprising news, as this game does not even have a disc edition for Xbox consoles. This might limit the sales for this game on Sony to some extent, since most players prefer owning a digital edition.
Possible Release Date for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PS5
There is no official confirmation from Microsoft regarding the release of a flight simulation game on Sony’s console. However, according to the same report from Graczdari, you can expect it to be released sometime in November 2025.
This somehow sounds realistic, as the game originally released last year on September 19, 2024. Hence, releasing it on the rival platform exactly a year later will settle some things up.
Settle what, you ask? Well, Game Science released Black Myth Wukong on Xbox after a year of its PS5 release. Many players still think that Sony and Game Science had a secret one-year exclusivity deal regarding Wukong‘s release.
