The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Episode 10: Do Conrad and Jeremiah Sort Out?

In The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 episode 10, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Christopher Briney) finally sort things out after the major fallout in episodes 8 & 9. Honestly, it’s about time. We all know the finale is near, and their long-overdue heart-to-heart needed to happen.

In episode 10, the two face each other on Susannah’s death anniversary, which makes the moment more emotional. Instead of getting into another fight and throwing punches, the two actually expressed their love for each other. Sure, they first ranted out, but eventually understood each other’s side and concluded with a brotherly hug.

But there was a moment that fans definitely didn’t expect to happen. Turns out, Jeremiah actually pushed Conrad to not give up on Belly even though he won’t be okay with it. Well, that single push showcased how much Jeremiah loves his brother and Belly, and he even admitted that their bond is incomparable.

What Advice Does Jeremiah Give Conrad After They Reconcile?

After months of tension and silence since Jeremiah called off the wedding with Belly, he and Conrad finally reconcile in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 episode 10. Their brotherly conversation was the most powerful they had in the entire journey on the show. Sure, they’ve been ignoring each other since the wedding fiasco; however, the two make up on Susannah’s death anniversary.

At the cemetery, the two exchange some brutal truths, and Jeremiah finally admits that he needed his brother at his lowest moment in life, and he still needs him now. And for the first time, the tension between them because of Belly finally drops.

When they hug out, the conversation shifts to Belly. At the time, Jeremiah spoke the harsh truth and admitted that he could never compete with what Conrad and Belly shared, even calling their bond a “force field.” While Conrad told him that he has been writing letters but hasn’t received a reply yet, Jeremiah tells him,

Do what you have to do. Don’t expect me to be okay with it. But don’t f**ing waste it, either.

That was the raw honesty from Jeremiah, highlighting that he is finally letting go, accepting the reality, and choosing his bond with Conrad instead of rivalry.

Can Jeremiah Find His Own Path After Letting Go of the Past?

After so much spiraling, Jeremiah’s arc in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 episode 10 finally feels like a messy puzzle is solved. For months, he spiraled after he called off his wedding to Belly.

He hooked up randomly, ghosted Conrad, ignored Belly, crashed at Steven’s, and then hopped over to Denise’s couch while lying to his dad about having it all together. And the job? Well, it was nonexistent. Basically, he was drifting apart through heartbreak.

But then, a small setback hit him. After his dad cut off finances, he picked up work at a restaurant, and for the first time, we see him shine at something that isn’t tied to impressing his dad or Belly. I felt like Jeremiah shone more through cooking than at his dad’s firm.

Meanwhile, on Christmas Eve, he drops by at Cousin’s house, where Laurel has put together a dinner; however, she isn’t ready to meet everyone. He comes back to Denise, where she drops the ultimate truth bomb that finally makes Jeremiah let go of the past. She told him to forgive himself, Conrad, and Belly, and more importantly, to accept what it is.

Jeremiah takes her advice to heart and calls Belly, and in a surprisingly mature moment, they both indirectly admit they let go of each other. And following that was his reconciliation with Conrad. Overall, Jeremiah’s arc feels complete; he has done it all. I feel that his becoming a chef might just be his new love story.
