The Summer I Turned Pretty just wrapped up its Season 3, and OH MY GOD, it will make the viewers fall in love with the show, but this time for another good reason. Season 4 is hinted at in the end-credit scene, where Jenny Han’s letter teases another installment. The finale seals it further as Belly and Conrad return to Cousins and open the door to new possibilities, which also means that Isabel ‘Belly’ Conklin chose Conrad at the end. Yay!
But unlike the book’s end, which shows that Belly (Lola Tung) and Conrad (Christopher Briney) are married, the show doesn’t, fuelling the speculations further.

Reading, Maybe we’ll meet again one summer in Cousins, is a direct nod to a new season. Excited, the fans aren’t able to keep calm with the news. Well, let’s find out what led to this.
Does Belly Return to Cousins in The Summer I Turned Pretty?
I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, but I want ’em all. Well, honestly, these lyrics from Lover by Taylor Swift do all the justification for The Summer I Turned Pretty. Belly returns to Cousins with Conrad. After a constant push and pull, Conrad is the endgame for Belly (love them together).
Conrad flies to Paris before going to Brussels for a conference, meeting Belly at the beginning of the finale. Belly, initially reluctant, becomes a tourist, showing him around Paris, including Versailles.
The two have a gala time, while also igniting long-buried conversations. Belly asks Conrad to join her for a pre-birthday party that her friends, Gemma, Max, Celine, and Benito (yeah, Belly’s Paris boyfriend), are throwing for her.
Parallely, Jeremiah (Gavin Casalengo), accompanied by Denise (Isabella Briggs), who is hosting a dinner at Cousins. Taylor, meanwhile, eavesdrops, learning about her and Steven’s plan to go to San Francisco. Furious, she wants to confront Steven, but diverts herself to work on the dinner prep.
Meanwhile, Belly and Conrad set out, dressed beautifully. They share a night filled with talks, including a one-on-one between Conrad and Benito. Later, Conrad finds some relief in knowing that Belly turned down Benito.
The two step out before Conrad presents Belly with a present, which is a ‘vial of sand’ from the beach that reminds him of home. Back at Cousins, Belly’s parents are toasting to her birthday. Taylor (Rain Spencer) and Steven (Sean Kauffman) also sorted out, with both of them moving to San Francisco together! Well, never doubted this sweet little couple.
Back in Paris, Belly tells Conrad she wants to take him to one more place, which turns out to be the Seine. In a heartfelt conversation, Belly admits Conrad’s letters kept her going, though she never replied to avoid slipping back into the past.
Belly and Conrad share a kiss that deepens into intimacy back at her apartment. Later on, the mood shifts when Conrad once again confesses his love, leaving Belly tense.
Unsure if she feels the same, a heartbreaking, or rather, the same moment comes back! Conrad leaves for Brussels. Belly, after a few moments, looks at her childhood picture and rushes to see Conrad.
Thankfully, she catches him, with her final dialogue being, “I choose you of my own free will. There are infinite worlds. Everyone of me chooses you in every one of them.” Aah, the moment everyone has been waiting for!
At last, Belly and Conrad walk hand-in-hand into the Cousins’ beach house, sealing their happily-ever-after. A sweet montage of their Christmas in Paris follows, before the end credits drop that exciting Season 4 tease.
