The Only Boss You Need To Fight In Borderlands 4 To Farm Infinite Legendary Loot

Splashzone is one of the first campaign bosses you’ll face in Borderlands 4. He’s incredibly easy to beat, and what he drops is something that every beginner should have, since they’re truly some solid drops. He’s an insane farm for endgame players as well, which is why you need to fight Splashzone to farm infinite Legendary loot in the game.

Why Splashzone Is the Perfect Boss to Farm Infinite Legendaries in Borderlands 4

Splashzone is located at the Riptide Grotto in Coastal Bonescape in The Fadefields as a part of the main mission, Recruitment Drive. Before you actually fight him, you’ll have to deal with the Rippers from the faction of the same name, then move on to dealing with him. This boss has three dedicated drops that are guaranteed, but you can farm him an infinite times to farm more Legendaries. Here are the three guaranteed drops:

After you complete his fight, you can access Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine to spend Cash and respawn the boss, then farm him for more Legendaries. It’s absolutely ridiculous how many Legendaries you can farm early on in Borderlands 4 with this boss. However, to farm him, you need Cash. Even then, Splashzone has you covered.

You see, the more you fight him, the more loot he drops, and you can sell that loot you don’t need to a Vendor, located right next to this Boss at the Riptide Grotto itself. You can easily kill Splashzone multiple times within two to three minutes, collect every loot that he drops, sell the ones you don’t need to a Vendor, and get the Cash to use it at Moxxi’s Big Encore Machine to spawn him again, then repeat the entire process.

Not only will your Backpack be overflowing with top-tier loot, but you’ll also easily farm Cash, as well as Legendaries, the more times you defeat him. He’s the perfect boss for beginners in Borderlands 4 to farm solid early-game Legendaries, as well as for people who have already reached endgame, since he also drops Firmware, which is tough to grind for during endgame sessions.

Overall, Splashzone is an incredible boss to farm Legendaries, Cash, and Firmware in Borderlands 4, and players who aren’t taking advantage of this boss are missing out on some grade-A loot. With that being said, here’s how you can easily beat this boss.

Best Strategies and Builds to Beat Splashzone in Borderlands 4

To defeat Splashzone in Borderlands 4, you need to be at least level 4 or 5 and have a weapon that deals Incendiary damage. Any build you create for this boss will work as long as you have an Incendiary weapon that deals high DPS. However, Cryo, Radiation, and Kinetic will work just as well if you don’t have an Incendiary weapon on you.

The best way to deal with this boss is to keep moving and stay out of his range, since he’s mostly a melee boss. Sometimes, he’ll throw Elemental Grenades at you, which makes it all the more important to keep moving and shooting. Aim for the head as a critical weak point, and use the red barrels in the area to deal some extra fiery damage. Watch out for the toxic ooze he leaves behind, too.

Splashzone has one of the fastest kill times for a boss, so whichever Vault Hunter build you use for him will melt him, provided it’s a weapon dealing high damage per second. Bonus points if you deal Incendiary damage. Have you defeated Splashzone in Borderlands 4 yet? Share your thoughts and farming experience in the comment section below.
