The Five Most Exciting Battlefield 6 Weapons We’re Dying to Shoot Come October 10

By James Johnson 10/08/2025

We’re just a couple of days from the launch of Battlefield 6, and the hype is at an all-time high. And why shouldn’t it be? EA is planning to return to the golden days of the franchise with this entry, featuring a brand new campaign, classic game modes, jets, and of course, weapons. When the game releases, we’re going to see 45 guns, but after testing the beta, there are five in particular, including the M2010 ESR and the NVO-228-E, that we can’t wait to fire on October 10th.

1. NVO-228E

Battlefield 6 is packed with assault rifles that suit every playstyle, but nothing comes close to the sheer greatness of the NVO-228E. During the beta, this one became a fan favorite simply due to the fact that it is so versatile.

Its fire rate allows it to shred through anything, and it delivers heavy damage both up close and at mid-range. Any drawbacks? Well, slap on some attachments. As long as EA doesn’t change its stats, it will be a top-tier pick.

2. SG 553R

Carbines definitely shine in Battlefield 6 when you’re trying to be aggressive and ruthless. For that role, we believe the SG 553R will be the top choice. In the beta, it dealt 33 damage per shot.

The carbine also had a three-shot kill potential at mid-range with what appeared to be the fastest Time to Kill (TTK) potential in the game. Keep in mind, its effectiveness won’t be that great beyond mid-range.

3. KV9

Next up is the star of the SMG category in Battlefield 6, the KV9, inspired by the KRISS Vector. This beast fires at 1,080 rounds per minute and has a four-shot kill potential. It’s devastating in skilled hands, but its small magazine size might mean you need to choose where you unload this carefully.

However, in closed spaces, your enemies won’t stand a chance against the firepower of this SMG. Don’t be shocked if you see EA nerfing this thing to oblivion with the post-launch updates.

4. M240L

LMGs will divide opinions in Battlefield 6, but when they’re set right, they’re absolutely brutal with a fast TTK. If you’re bold enough to use one, the M240L will be a solid pick.

It works well for both defensive and aggressive play styles, and even has a decent fire rate considering it’s a three-shot kill weapon. It’s been described as an all-rounder mid-range LMG, but we believe it will truly shine when you take it up close to your enemies.

5. M2010 ESR

Finally, there’s the M2010 ESR, a sniper rifle we expect to dominate the scene in Battlefield 6 meta from day one, on October 10th.

It’s a reliable one-shot headshot machine, and even has a sweet spot for one-shot body kills. With the fastest fire rate in its class, it’s a beast at long ranges.

With that said, which weapon are you the most excited to use in Battlefield 6? Let us know in the comments below.
