Stephanie Vaquer’s Dating Life, Earnings, and Reported WWE Salary Detailed

By Richard Brown 10/10/2025

WWE Superstar Stephanie Vaquer has become the Women’s World Champion within just a year of joining the company. La Primera made history by becoming the first South American-born woman to win the title. Here’s all you need to know about her dating life and how much she earns in the Stamford-based promotion.

Stephanie Vaquer was rumored to be dating fellow wrestler Myles Borne. The 26-year-old performs on the NXT brand, where he met The Dark Angel when she joined the developmental territory last year. The rumors began after pictures of Borne and Vaquer went viral on social media. Later, however, the rumors received a nod from Borne himself.

In June 2025, Lexis King posted a tweet on X wherein he said that he would enjoy a four-day vacation with his Cuban girlfriend. He also wrote that when he would be back, he would destroy Myles Borne. In response, the 26-year-old tweeted that he would be with his “Chilean Queen” and would see him soon. This confirmed his relationship with La Primera, who is from Chile.

Myles Borne was previously married to his ex-girlfriend Jadyn, with whom he had tied the knot in May 2023. Following his divorce, he removed all pictures of his ex-wife from his social media and is currently dating Stephanie Vaquer.

Who is Myles Borne?

Myles Borne was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, and his real name is David Bostian III. The 26-year-old superstar has spent three years in WWE’s developmental territory and has shown constant upward growth.

This year in May, he won a Last Man Standing Battle Royal to earn a title match against Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at Battleground. Interestingly, his in-ring dominance has also led to the development of a running gag in the WWE Universe that he is Randy Orton’s secret son.

Myles Borne is a part of the No Quarter Catch Crew faction alongside Tavion Heights. It should be noted that despite being partially deaf, Borne’s performance in the ring never slips. Moreover, the 26-year-old was also an amateur wrestler before becoming a pro wrestler.

Oba Femi Had Also Confirmed the Relationship Between Stephanie Vaquer and Myles Borne

Oba Femi and Stephanie Vaquer appeared for an interview with the WFLA News Channel 8 in May 2025 ahead of NXT Battleground. ‘The Ruler’ was going to defend the NXT Championship against Myles Borne at the premium live event. When asked about his thoughts on facing Borne at the PLE, Femi said:

I mean, I’m looking forward to beating up Stephanie Vaquer’s boyfriend (Myles Borne) for a little bit. I have a one-on-one match with Myles Borne; he’s worked his way up the ranks, and he won a couple of matches to earn an opportunity for the NXT Championship, which I respect. At the end of the day, this is not a Disney movie. You don’t get the happy ending. You don’t get to run off into the sunset with my belt, and I’m going to retain on Sunday. While Oba Femi was saying this, Stephanie Vaquer broke into a very subtle smile in another panel. This was yet another confirmation of the rumors claiming that La Primera was dating Myles Borne. The Battleground showdown between Borne and Femi saw the latter retaining his title.

Not much is known about how Stephanie Vaquer and Myles Borne started dating each other in WWE, as neither of them has made any comment on it so far. The Dark Angel especially keeps her personal life away from the public eye.

How Much Does Stephanie Vaquer Earn in WWE?

Stephanie Vaquer was one of the hottest and most in-demand free agents last year. La Primera has over 15 years of pro wrestling experience under her belt and has wrestled all over the world and won several championships.

Moreover, she had already wrestled a couple of matches for the AEW, where she defeated Lady Frost at the 2024 AEW Collision in her debut for the promotion. She had also fought the AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone in a title-for-title match. Vaquer put her NJPW Strong Woman’s Championship on the line, but lost to Mone at the 2024 AEW/NJPW Forbidden Door.

AEW was highly interested in Stephanie Vaquer and offered a lot of money to her as well. In response, WWE boosted the monetary value of its contract to match AEW’s offer, and also sent NXT’s creative head, Shawn Michaels, to personally pitch a deal to La Primera.

In a July 2024 episode of the K100 w/ Konnan & Disco podcast, Harry Ruiz talked about how The Heart Break Kid sealed the deal with Stephanie Vaquer, smashing the hopes of the AEW to sign the 32-year-old star.

Instead of having somebody call her, Shawn Michaels called her and then ended up laying out a plan for what they were going to do with her and then a good monetary offer as well. So she ended up accepting WWE because they had the money, they had the creative, and it made more sense for her, even if this means that she doesn’t get to work with New Japan and CMLL no more. Thus, Stephanie Vaquer has signed a very lucrative contract with the WWE, owing to the interest shown by its rival company, and her status in the NJPW and CMLL.

However, while some unverified estimates ranging from $80,000 – $300,000 per year float on the internet, the exact figure of how much she is making annually is classified.

Why Did Stephanie Vaquer Choose WWE Over AEW?

Stephanie Vaquer had already wrestled in the ring of AEW. Despite this, she chose to sign a deal with the WWE instead of the Tony Khan-led promotion. Speaking to 24 Horas TVN, had shed light on why she chose to join WWE over AEW.

La Primera stated that it was her childhood dream to wrestle in the Stamford-based promotion. Once she felt that she was ready to take the next step and had achieved enough merit in the indies, Vaquer chose to join WWE. She highlighted that money wasn’t the primary reason for her decision, since she was offered a bigger paycheck from another promotion.

Instead, Stephanie Vaquer stated that she believed that WWE was the destination that had the potential to turn her into a complete wrestler. She also highlighted that she felt that NXT had the best women’s division in pro wrestling, which influenced her decision.

I’ll be very honest. Since I was a little girl, my dream was to sign with WWE. But when you’re older, you can’t be guided by the dreams you had when you were 9 years old. When I did what I did in Mexico, in Japan, I had already fulfilled a dream. I was missing this extra. It’s not all about money. I received another offer that was very juicy financially. To be a complete wrestler, I needed to be in WWE. I came to NXT because it was the best women’s division there is. [H/T Ringside News]

It should be noted that Stephanie Vaquer’s decision to join WWE wasn’t just a pursuit of her childhood nostalgia. As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Dark Angel wasn’t seriously considering joining the AEW.
