Spy x Family Season 3 Episode 2 Preview Glimpses Loid’s Past Arc
Spy x Family season 3 episode 2 will be released on October 11, 2025. Ahead of its release, the YouTube channel of TOHO Animation has begun streaming a trailer for Loid Forger’s Past arc.
In this arc, Twilight recalls his war-torn past as he grew up in the eastern region of Luwen Westalis. Even as a kid, his life was severely affected by the warring countries. He saw the negative effects of war firsthand.
Loid used to play pretend battles as a kid, and they wanted to become soldiers together. Once his father heads to the border for work, a new war begins, and Luwen gets raided by the Ostanian army. His family never hears back from his father, and he also loses his mother in an air raid.
Since then, Loid grew up with nothing but hatred for Ostania. Loid joined the Westalian army under a false identity, and this is how he met Franky, a deserted Ostanian soldier. Soon after, Loid’s identity is discovered, and he is called to be recruited into the intelligence agency.
Why Loid’s Past Arc is Extremely Relevant
Loid’s Past arc is a short one, but it packs a massive punch. So far in the anime, fans have not been able to understand the full impact of the ongoing war between Westalis and Ostania. The anime adaptation of the arc will show just how brutal Loid’s childhood had been and how it shaped his outlook and future.
Additionally, the arc will also show how he met with Franky and how the latter helped him to understand both sides. Their conversation about the war will reveal the sentiments of both Westalis and Ostania citizens. Additionally, it will also reveal how Loid came to work for WISE.
