Despite the fans demanding confirmation for Season 3 of Solo Leveling, it seems like Crunchyroll doesn’t have anything to show for it. Even at the latest Aniplex Online Fest 2025, there were several big reveals made about many upcoming anime projects, but nothing about Solo Leveling Season 3.
But at the same time, it seems like the anime production receives the help of an unlikely ally in the form of Netmarble. Creators of the hit mobile game Solo Leveling: Arise, the company has just invested a total of $1.4 million into the production of the anime.
The Impact of Netmarble’s Investment on the Future of Solo Leveling

Despite winning the Anime of the Year Award at Crunchyroll’s Anime Awards 2025, the production of the Solo Leveling anime series has no plans for Season 3. This all might’ve changed with Netmarble putting an investment of 2 billion Won (approximately $1.4 million) in the animation production committee.
This investment now makes the video game developer a 20% stakeholder in the anime’s production alongside D&C Media, which is the original IP owner, Sony, and Piccoma (via Anime Mojo). This was a natural cascade that stemmed from the developer’s connection with the IP from their Solo Leveling: Arise video game.
This investment is seen as giving more momentum toward the production of the highly anticipated Season 3 of the anime, as fresh cash flow is followed by the expectations of a good ROI. Thus, Season 3 is the most likely decision that the committee will now look towards, especially with all the hype that’s behind the anime already.
And with Netmarble’s strategy of expanding the Solo Leveling brand via games, like Solo Leveling: Arise, Solo Leveling: Karma, and other media, new mediums of showcasing the IP are bound to follow.
What Solo Leveling Projects Are Currently in the Pipeline?

Despite the hints of Season 3 now being set for production, there are many projects from the Solo Leveling IP that are currently in the works, or are already available and being developed in real time.
Netflix had announced that a live-action adaptation of the Manhwa is currently in production. In the most recent update, we saw that South Korean actress Han So-hee and actor Byeon Woo-seok were revealed to be playing the roles of Cha Hae-in and Sung Jin-woo, respectively.
At the same time, Netmarble is currently developing Solo Leveling: Karma, which is said to be a rogue-like action RPG game that we can expect in the future. It is also currently running updates and bringing in new content for the ongoing Solo Leveling: Arise cross-platform game.
Lastly, the continued serialisation and publishing of the original Manhwa’s sequel series, titled Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, ensures that the IP is well on its way to establishing itself in the global entertainment industry.
