Seth Rollins Injury Update: Was It the Reason Why WWE Broke Up The Vision?

By Richard Moore 10/14/2025

WWE fans were shocked by the ending segment of the October 13 episode of Raw, as it featured the falling apart of the Seth Rollins-led faction, The Vision. It started with Bron Breakker spearing Rollins and ended with The Vision’s advocate, Paul Heyman, betraying Rollins to join Breakker and Reed.

Now, keeping the kayfabe aside, the injury that Rollins sustained during his Crown Jewel match against Cody Rhodes might be one of the primary reasons behind Triple H and Co. choosing to break The Vision. Reportedly, Rollins will undergo a few tests in the subsequent days, which might lead to a time-out from performing inside the ring. (via PWInsider.com)

While nothing can be documented about the reason behind the WWE’s decision to break The Vision, Triple H and Co. probably did not want to hinder Breakker and Reed’s dominant run because of their kayfabe faction leader’s injury.

Seth Rollins’ Comments About His Injury

The WWE brass has yet to officially confirm whether Rollins will be tested to determine the severity of his injury. However, there is little doubt that he sustained an injury to his shoulder during his Crown Jewel match with Cody Rhodes.

The Architect appeared on the WWE Crown Jewel post-show, where he disclosed how he might have to face “long-term ramifications” for the corner-to-corner diving headbutt he attempted during his match with Rhodes. Rollins also mentioned that the move “didn’t pay off.” (via WWE on X)

I saw an opportunity. I took it. It didn’t pay off, and honestly, there might be some long-term ramifications. At the end of the day, I was going to lay it all on the line. I did everything in that ring, no matter what. Rough landing right there. Rough landing.

.@WWERollins told @CodyRhodes he'd do ANYTHING to win and he did just that!

While Rollins didn’t reveal further details about his injury, a few post-Crown Jewel images on social media displayed him using a sling during his time out of the ring in Australia, indicating that he had injured his shoulder.

Well, irrespective of the real reason behind the falling apart of The Vision, Triple H and Co. chose a compelling storyline to justify their separation. The ending segment of the October 13 episode of Raw displayed the breaking apart of The Vision. However, the reason behind Rollins and Co.’s separation was showcased in the episode’s opening segment.

Seth Rollins’ Storylined Self-Centeredness Led to the Vision’s Separation

Rollins’ unfair victory over Rhodes at Crown Jewel gave him the bragging rights that he made full use of during the opening segment of the October 13 episode of Raw. However, Rollins may have taken things too far as he credited himself for The Vision’s remarkable success.

Despite being helped by Reed and Breakker’s interventions on multiple occasions, Rollins also stated that he had achieved everything he had today by himself.

I beat CM Punk and Roman Reigns in WrestleMania on my own. I won the World Heavyweight Championship on my own. I trounced Cody Rhodes with one good arm, on my own. Those are facts; I don’t need anybody. I don’t need the men in this ring. I have chosen [them].

While the reason behind Breakker betraying Rollins at the end of the episode remains open to speculation, The Architect’s brash comments about achieving all by himself might have triggered Breakker’s urge to revolt against him.

Do you agree with our take? Otherwise, why do you think Breakker turned against Rollins? Let us know in the comments below.
