The world of WWE and One Piece may seem like completely distant entities until you meet Roman Reigns. Stepping outside the anime sphere for a moment, if you look into the One Piece live-action, the whole aesthetic and vibe of WWE actually feel quite similar to many One Piece characters. And even more so when you compare Roman Reigns with Kaido.

An avid One Piece fan on X (@BecksBeckman) pointed out this striking comparison between the two legends in their respective worlds, and honestly, it’s wild how similar their appearances are. If anyone with connections to Netflix pitches this idea, it could easily turn into an absolute masterpiece; well, not like it isn’t already.
Prime Roman Reigns Is the Spitting Image of Kaido!
Roman Reigns is a shining star in the world of wrestling, plus he even used to be a former American football player. However, these days, Reigns is also actively pursuing an acting career while balancing his WWE superstar status.
He has even made a few recent film appearances, including Hobbs & Shaw (2019), a voice role in the animated film Rumble (2021), and a part in The Wrong Missy (2020). Furthermore, he has been announced to appear in the upcoming Action Force and Good Fortune films, with a possible lead role in the Street Fighter live-action.
But, when it comes to the One Piece live action, he feels like the perfect choice to bring Kaido’s ominous character and presence to life. No one else would do a better job. Reigns is effortlessly Kaido in every possible way, and once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

Especially in his prime, with those long curly locks, a jacked build, tattoos, and that menacing expression, and voilà: there you have Kaido in real life. The similarities are impeccable, which is exactly why fans would go crazy to see him cast. But the big question remains: will he?
Will Kaido Appear in One Piece Live-Action Season 2?
Netflix has announced that One Piece Live-Action Season 2 will release sometime in 2026; as such, most of the production work has already been completed. However, judging by the series’ pacing, it will likely only cover the beginning of the Grand Line arc.
Kaido, on the other hand, appears much later in the story. Therefore, following the current storyline in the live-action, there’s no way he would be included in Season 2.
Netflix has even revealed the cast for some of the characters appearing in Season 2, including Nico Robin, Smoker, Vivi, and Chopper, among others. But Kaido, as expected, is not on the list.
That said, the possibility still remains that, someday in a future One Piece live-action series or movie, Kaido could make his grand appearance, and no one would rock the screen quite like Roman Reigns with his overwhelming presence in the role of Kaido. Wouldn’t you agree?
One Piece Live Action Season 1 is currently available to watch on Netflix.
