Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom Powers In Avengers: Doomsday Revealed – This Is How He Kills the Avengers

Robert Downey Jr., who will return to the MCU as Doctor Doom, will reportedly use his intellect and control over magic to defeat the Avengers and create Battleworld in Avengers: Doomsday. The actor previously played Tony Stark in the MCU, and his return is historic, even if we do not know if it was a good or bad decision.

Doom will be the big bad of the upcoming two movies and was already teased in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Popular scooper, Alex Perez, revealed that the movies will deal with incursions, and Doom will be using his powers to stop them.

His genius intellect that he’s gathered from studying the multiverse, and his master manipulation skills. Oh, and magic.

Doom has been speculated to kill many Avengers, including Thor and Shang-Chi, after his alleged suit was revealed at a marketing expo in China earlier this month. He might be using his intellect and magic to kill the Avengers.

Doctor Doom’s Powers in Doomsday Further Hint at a Doctor Strange Team-up

We all know that Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will be the protagonist of Avengers: Doomsday

and will be fighting the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. However, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will be appearing in the movie, despite his casting not being announced during the chair stream.

Strange is a valuable ally for Doctor Doom as the incursions cause the multiverse to collapse. According to Perez, Earth-616’s various time travel shenanigans have caused multiple incursions and destroyed the universe. As Doom tries to save the world from collapsing, Strange would be an asset.

One of Doom’s powers is rumored to be magic, and who better to be suited for this than the former Sorcerer Supreme himself? In the Secret Wars comics, Doom takes the help of the Beyonders and saves part of the multiverse to create Battleworld. He might be doing the same, but with the help of Doctor Strange and possibly Franklin Richards.

Robert Downey Jr. Killing the Avengers May Be Taking It a Step Too Far

A Disney marketing expo recently revealed what Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom would look like, and the insignia on it indicated that Doom would be killing some of the Avengers. The suit had the symbols of Thor, Shang-Chi, and other heroes, thus prompting speculation about how Doom would be established as a legitimate threat to the Avengers.

While it would be quite a spectacular way to go about it, The Russos should probably rethink this strategy, as they had already employed it once on Avengers: Infinity War. While it worked for the movie, it was still an antagonist like Thanos who was responsible for the deaths of thousands of superheroes.

We have not had the time to accept Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom yet. For us, he is still Tony Stark, and watching him kill a bunch of Avengers would be heartbreaking. The prospect of the Avengers dying, especially OG ones like Thor, is already a bleak one, as the actors will likely move on from the franchise soon.

From a storytelling perspective, it is a great way to establish just how menacing and ruthless Doctor Doom can be. However, one of the biggest fears of all the fans is how they will handle RDJ as Doom without ruining his legacy as Iron Man. And, going in this direction would certainly do it.
