One Piece Season 2: 9 New Devil Fruits We Will Definitely See in Netflix’s Live Action

By Steven Smith 10/04/2025

The second season of Netflix’s live-action One Piece is slowly approaching, with no definitive date, but plenty of new characters to be excited for. With them, more Devil Fruits will be introduced beyond what they’ve shown in the first season.

According to the new cast members that the live-action’s social media accounts revealed so far, there will be a variety of new powers in One Piece, including Logia and Zoan types. We’ve compiled a list of the Devil Fruits and their users that you can definitely expect to see in Season 2.

1. Nico Robin / Miss All Sunday – Hana Hana no Mi

The iconic archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates might be an antagonist in the second season, but have some patience for her. Nico Robin wields one of the most versatile and dangerous Paramecia-type Devil Fruits, the Hana Hana no Mi. It’s great for a stealthy assassin, but she’s used it in ways we’ve never imagined.

So, what does the Hana Hana no Mi do in One Piece? Also known as the Flower-Flower Fruit in English, Robin can replicate and grow parts of her body on any object or living thing. The parts can also be any size she likes. They are visually marked by pink petals that swirl around her, which they also portrayed in Season 2’s first look.

2. Smoker – Moku Moku no Mi

Smoker is the first Logia user in One Piece, which makes the Moku Moku no Mi the first confirmed Logia-type Devil Fruit. The Marine captain is the first antagonist of Season 2, and we can’t wait to see how the live-action chooses to portray his powers.

The Moku Moku no Mi, also the Smoke-Smoke Fruit, allows the user to create, manipulate, and even transform into smoke. Befitting his name, Smoker is proficient with his Devil Fruit, even if it’s not the most powerful Logia. It also grants him flight by transforming his lower half. Fans will meet him quite early on in Season 2.

3. Mr. 0 / Sir Crocodile – Suna Suna no Mi

Similar to Smoker’s Devil Fruit, Sir Crocodile also wields a Logia-type Devil Fruit, the Suna Suna no Mi. It grants him the ability to turn, control, and create sand at his will. He will be the overarching antagonist of the second season, and the main antagonist if the live-action includes the Alabasta Arc.

The Suna Suna no Mi makes Crocodile the first real threat in One Piece. It can dry up the bodies of living things, making it a lethal power. Alabasta is practically a playground for him, considering the desert environment. The battle between him and Luffy might not occur in Season 2, but hopefully, his powers will be teased.

4. Tony Tony Chopper – Hito Hito no Mi

Chopper will be the next recruited member of the Straw Hat Pirates. You may have already seen him on Netflix’s special first look at the character, but there is a reason he can speak and stand upright. When he was lost and starving, he ate the Hito Hito no Mi, a Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows him to become a hybrid-human or full human.

While Chopper has never been portrayed to look fully human, the Hito Hito no Mi is a versatile Devil Fruit. Combined with his reindeer traits, it grants him several powerful forms. The first look portrayed the cuteness of his character, but we wonder how it will handle the more monstrous versions.

5. Wapol – Baku Baku no Mi

The main antagonist of the Drum Island Arc has one of the most bizarre Paramecia-type Devil Fruits, which could be the most challenging to portray in live-action. Wapol wields the Baku Baku no Mi, also known as the Munch-Munch Fruit. He can merge with whatever he eats, including human beings.

The Baku Baku no Mi can drastically transform Wapol’s body, from a fortress to a slim man. His Devil Fruit can be rather annoying to handle, but it will be satisfying to see Luffy defeat Wapol in live-action format.

6. Mr. 5 / Gem – Bomu Bomu no Mi

As you can tell by its name, the Bomu Bomu no Mi allows the user to make any part of their body explode, but it’s not limited to their limbs. It was eaten by Mr. 5, a Baroque Works agent whose real name is Gem. Through his fights, we’ve seen him use his mucus and breath as explosions.

Due to Mr. 5’s limited role in One Piece, we don’t get to see the full potential and destructive capabilities of the Bomu Bomu no Mi. It will be a fun Devil Fruit to see on-screen, but there won’t be much time with it beyond Season 2.

7. Mr. 3 / Galdino – Doru Doru no Mi

The main antagonist of the Little Garden Arc wields another challenging Devil Fruit to depict on-screen. Mr. 3, a Baroque Works agent whose real name is Galdino, has the Doru Doru no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants him the ability to create and control wax, even large quantities of it. It nearly works like a Logia Fruit.

Mr. 3 might be the most visually unique antagonist in Season 2. David Dastmalchian is an excellent choice to portray the Doru Doru no Mi user, as he’s a very weird yet interesting antagonist, and the actor can bring out those nuances.

8. Dalton – Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Bison

Dalton’s Devil Fruit is the first standard Zoan-type to be introduced in One Piece. The Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Bison, is a force to be reckoned with. It might not be the most powerful of its type, but it makes him sturdy and fast.

Through the Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Bison, Dalton can transform into a full bison or a half-bison at any point he wants. In the latter form, he resembles a minotaur. Unexpectedly, his speed is his greatest asset, not his strength. After seeing the CGI with Chopper, we have faith they will portray his bison form well.

9. Miss Valentine / Mikita – Kiro Kiro no Mi

Miss Valentine, the Baroque Works partner of Mr. 5, possesses the Kiro Kiro no Mi. Mikita, her actual name, can change her weight from 1 to 10,000 kilograms without it affecting her size. It makes it quite easy for her to crush her enemies without hindering her mobility. However, she doesn’t engage in combat a lot, but the live-action One Piece might change that.

These are the characters that have confirmed actors in the upcoming season. More might get confirmed between 2026, and we know fans must be itching to find out who Ace will be played by. For now, here’s a summary of the new Devil Fruit users confirmed for Season 2:
