One Piece Chapter 1162’s spoilers have finally confirmed the Haki abilities of Imu, the supreme leader of the World Government and the main antagonist of the series. What’s shocking about this revelation is that it stunned Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp, two of the strongest Haki users in the One Piece series. This suggests that he is on a completely different level in terms of Haki.
While it was understood that Imu would possess a powerful Haki, the fact that it left Garp and Roger speechless suggests that it will pose a significant problem in the future. Also, it is safe to assume that Imu’s Haki might be on the same level as that of Joy Boy, which One Piece fans got to see dur ing the finale of the Egghead Island arc.
Imu’s Haki Reveal Is the Perfect Climax for God Valley Flashback
According to the spoilers of One Piece Chapter 1162, during the God Valley Incident, Imu decided to make an appearance through Saint Saturn, one of the former Five Elders. He possessed Saturn’s body in his spider form and turned almost every member of the Davy Clan into a demon, just like he did with the giants in the previous chapters. However, along with all this, he even released his Haki, which was the highlight of his appearance in God Valley.
The spoilers point out that the Haki release of Imu was so powerful that it shocked Garp and Roger, and they became speechless. Considering the ongoing developments in God Valley flashback, it is safe to assume that Eiichiro Oda most likely used Imu’s appearance and his Haki reveal to mark the conclusion of the ongoing narrative.
The God Valley Flashback still has a lot to offer, but there is a possibility that Oda might end it soon in a few chapters. He also has to focus on the current storyline of Elbaph, where Imu is wreaking havoc on the land of giants, and the correlation between his appearance in God Valley and in Elbaph could work as a great transition to shift to the present timeline in One Piece.
Imu and Joy Boy: Whose Haki Reigns Supreme?
It would not be an exaggeration to say that Haki is the most powerful force in One Piece. The story has consistently emphasized its importance, and with Imu’s Haki now revealed, it is clear that the two strongest Haki users are none other than Joy Boy and Imu. However, the strongest among the two has still not been officially confirmed by the One Piece manga creator, and he will most likely keep it a secret until the final war.
Still considering the developments around their Haki reveal, it is safe to assume that Joy Boy has a stronger Haki than Imu. While Imu’s Haki shocked Garp and Roger, Joy Boy’s Haki not only sent the Five Elders back to Marie Geoise, but it also got recognized by Imu, who was also back at the Capital of the World Government in One Piece.
This proves that even though Imu might have the strongest Haki currently, it was still below Joy Boy’s in terms of power. Thus, Luffy will have to reach Joy Boy’s Haki level if he hopes to defeat the Supreme Leader of the World Government in One Piece. Do you think Luffy will ever reach Joy Boy’s level?
