Not Becky Lynch or Rhea Ripley: Sol Ruca Clearly Has the Best Finishing Move Among Women’s WWE Stars

By Richard Brown 10/04/2025

WWE star Sol Ruca is the reigning WWE Women’s Speed Champion. The 26-year-old performs on the NXT brand and has captivated the fans with her flexibility and high-flying moves. Moreover, she also has one of the most beautiful and devastating finishers, the Sol Snatcher.

This week on Friday Night SmackDown, Sol Ruca teamed up with Zaria to take on Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre. The match saw some back and forth before the 26-year-old Ruca landed the Sol Snatcher on The Hot Mess to pin her and win the match. The move instantly drew a highly impressed reaction from commentator and WWE legend Booker T.

Sol Ruca’s Sol Snatcher is one of the greatest finisher moves of all-time, man.

This isn’t the first time Sol Ruca has received such a reaction for her finisher. Unlike Becky Lynch’s Manhandle Slam and Rhea Ripley’s Riptide, which are delivered while standing, Ruca’s move sees her flying with a backflip before landing the Sol Snatcher, making it look more alive and beautiful.

How Did Sol Ruca Create Her Finisher?

Sol Ruca made an appearance in a May 2025 episode of the Busted Open After Dark podcast. Speaking to WWE legend Bully Ray, the former NXT Women’s North American Champion talked about how she created her original finisher, the Sol Snatcher.

There’s a move that I used to do called a straddle back, which is a move on the high bar where … you jump to the high bar, you swing forwards, you swing backwards, and you let go of the high bar, and you do basically like a front flip, and you catch the low bar in a handstand. I was like, okay, I think I could do something with that.

She also highlighted why she thought that a cutter-style move would work the best for her. She said that it was easier to make the move appeal to the crowds, and she would also benefit from never having to worry about the size difference she would have with her opponents.

I just figured that a cutter was the best way to go for prolonging my career. And it was just so much easier to make it work and look good and make it so that everyone can take it. And that was another big thing that I wanted to make sure is, that it’s something that I don’t have to like, lift someone up because of size difference and stuff, or you’re tired at the end of the match. I want it to be something that can be out of nowhere.

Truly, her finisher can totally hit her opponents out of nowhere, just like Randy Orton’s RKO. The move has been used by The Viper to bury countless of his opponents, something which Sol Ruca is also doing to win her matches.

Sol Ruca Retains Her Championship at NXT No Mercy

Sol Ruca defended her WWE Women’s Speed Championship against Jaida Parker at the 2025 NXT No Mercy. The 26-year-old cruised through the 5-minute limit bout with careful precision and dexterity with her high-flying moves against Parker, who is a heavy hitter in the NXT Women’s Division.

The final moments of the match saw a small ringside distraction for Parker because of Zaria. When she got back into the ring, Sol Ruca landed her finisher, the Sol Snatcher, to pin her challenger with 12 seconds remaining on the clock. Thus, the 26-year-old remains the WWE Women’s Speed Champion.

After her win at No Mercy, Ruca is headed to NXT Showdown, where she will represent WWE’s developmental territory against TNA. Moreover, she will be wrestling as a teammate of Jaida Parker, along with NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and Lola Vice.

What are your thoughts on Sol Ruca’s finisher, the Sol Snatcher? Do you think Ruca and Parker will be able to function on the same team just days after their title match at No Mercy? Pour your thoughts down in the comments.
