Although on paper, it might seem Kidman and Holmes might’ve nothing to do with each other, the two apparently developed a unique bond following their history with Cruise.
Although nothing is set in stone, as the duo haven’t publicly addressed the rumors, according to US Weekly, they bonded over their shared experience of parting ways with the Mission: Impossible star.

Kidman and Holmes have never harbored any resentment or grudges against each other, at least not publicly. Moreover, rumors claim the duo developed an alleged friendship when the Batman Begins star opted to divorce Cruise over alleged concerns regarding Scientology.
Reports claimed that Kidman allegedly helped Holmes to plot the latter’s divorce from Cruise, adding that the former was very supportive of Holmes.
They’ve spoken over the last few weeks. Nicole has been supportive, saying she’s been through it too and to hang in there.
One source even claimed that Holmes operated a disposable phone to contact the Eyes Wide Shut star without alerting others.

As of now, it remains unclear whether the two are on talking terms or not, but given how Crucial Kidman apparently proved to be during Holmes’ personal struggle, there’s no reason to doubt otherwise.

Despite allegedly helping out Holmes after the latter reportedly reached out to the actor during a tumultuous period, Kidman has been mostly quiet about her past with Cruise.
Even though their 11-year-long marriage, which saw the couple adopt two children, remains one of the most publicized celebrity relationships in Hollywood, when asked about her time with Cruise, Kidman refused to elaborate. This partly stemmed from her marriage to Keith Urban at the time, as she told The Cut:
Being married to Tom Cruise at 22 is something I’m always reluctant to talk about, because I’m married now to the man who is my great love [Keith Urban], and it almost feels disrespectful.
It’s kind of poetic to see Kidman, who endured the struggle of publicly separating from the biggest movie star in the business, allegedly coming to assist Holmes without any hesitation.
