Players are excited for the arrival of Daredevil in Marvel Rivals in October, with the start of Season 4.5. And it seems the wait for the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen was worth it, as testers suggest the Man Without Fear will be one of the most skill-based and rewarding heroes yet.
His entire kit seems very promising for a duelist, but one ability in particular is turning heads: Objection. This ability lets you reflect projectiles directly, and while doing so, you gain temporary immunity and build Fury, giving Daredevil a powerful defensive edge.
Daredevil’s “Objection”: The Ultimate Counterplay Tool in Marvel Rivals
Objection might just be one of the strongest defensive abilities in Marvel Rivals. When activated, Daredevil starts whirling his billy clubs, which allows him to block all frontal damage, reflect incoming projectiles (which also include Ultimates), and makes him immune to harm for its duration.
That’s not all; every attack he deflects generates Fury, which fuels his offensive abilities afterward. This means that well-timed use of Objection can shut down other heroes and neutralize ultimates that would normally destroy you.
So right about now, you must be wondering which ultimate these billy clubs can deflect? The answer is almost all of them. The few exceptions are Jeff, Psylocke, Emma Frost, and, technically, Ultron.
Even Punisher’s explosive attacks and Hawkeye’s precision shots can be turned into self-inflicted damage when met with a perfectly timed Objection. And that’s the biggest hurdle, the timing. In the chaotic battlefield, it’s hard to time or sometimes even see attacks coming.
However, players who’ll master Objection will find themselves untouchable in one-on-one duels.
Other Abilities That Complete the Devil’s Arsenal
While Objection seems like his standout move, Daredevil’s other abilities are just as enticing. His Justice Jab (normal attack) and Righteous Cross combo delivers fast, fury-building melee strikes with his billy clubs.
His Sonic Pursuit ability locks onto enemies and allows him to dash (if they are in range) across the battlefield. If hit, the enemy is blinded, and you restore Fury. Additionally, players can pull the enemy using his Devil’s Latch ability.
Since Fury is the main part of his kit, with the help of Infernal Fury ability, you can choose between two powerful gains: Devil’s Chain (which restores health) and Devil’s Throw (which slows enemies). Finally, his ultimate, Let the Devil Out, allows Daredevil to embrace the chaos and do damage to anyone within his line of sight, while also blinding them.
Together, these abilities make Daredevil a powerhouse of a duelist. But it’s the Objection ability that makes him rise above that and make him a counterplay master in Marvel Rivals.
