Sabrina Carpenter might be one of the most famous singers, especially among youngsters, and has even won Reese Witherspoon over with her music, but she has yet to enchant Jennifer Aniston. After all, it feels like the FRIENDS alum doesn’t even know who the Please Please Please singer is!
Aniston made this evident during a recent appearance on a Do You Even Know Me? episode for LADbible Entertainment’s series, alongside Witherspoon. One of the questions that Witherspoon asked her The Morning Show co-star was, “Why did I go viral singing Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso song?” To this, Aniston had a genuinely confused reaction as she said,
Why? Did you go viral singing who?
This had the Legally Blonde actress trying to explain who Carpenter is, singing a line from Espresso. But Jennifer Aniston, on her part, just chuckled while looking as confused as ever, so it might as well be that she’s yet to witness the pop musical masterpieces from the American singer-songwriter and actress!
The Morning Show Co-Starsʼs Friendship Test Unveiled Some Really Funny Stories
In the game, both Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson, portrayers in The Morning Show, had to ask each other a few questions about themselves and offer three options to choose the correct answer from. For a pair who have known each other for around 25 years, being first linked back in 2000 through an episode of FRIENDS
First off, Aniston was asking her co-star, “What was wrong with my first home in Los Angeles?” While Witherspoon chose to go with “A, the neighbour had dozens of cats and they’d always sneak into my house,” the real answer was that the home was actually “haunted by a ghost who hated” Aniston’s flatmate. As the actress candidly shared,
He wasn’t a fan of my flatmate. Yeah, it’s very true. So my TV would pop on and off, my stereo would blast, my coffee maker would just turn on, my washing machine… I’m not kidding. Well, it was disruptive, this ghost. And I had my friend come over.
Then there was the Big Little Lies star confessing that she actually went viral for singing Espresso because “I thought she said ‘I’m working late ‘cause I’m a sinner” when the actual lyrics are actually “I’m working late ‘cause I’m a singer.” And that’s not all, because she even said the same on Jimmy Fallon’s show too, “and everybody thought that was really silly.”
But, in her defense, “Where I grew up in the South, people talk about sinners. Especially when they stay up late.” So fans might as well forgive Witherspoon for this one!
Last off, there was another confession from Aniston that she worked as a bike courier/bike messenger in New York before she got famous for acting. But this line of work didn’t really suit the Murder Mystery actress as she only “made it through a day”! If anything, it was “terrifying with all the cars,” and “a cylinder on your back,” and “a bicycle underneath” for Aniston.
Who Won the Friendship Test Between Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon?
Well, for this one, it was Jennifer Aniston who scored first place. She answered two out of four deeply personal questions correctly about her Morning Show co-star, while Reese Witherspoon could only answer one question correctly about Aniston, which was about her FRIENDS character, Rachel Green.
But while that’s that, it’s also surprising because the super pumped one when the game started was actually Witherspoon, while Aniston’s began with, “Oh, my God, I don’t remember who I am.” The Cruel Intentions actress, on the other hand, looked as confident and perky as ever as she quipped in the beginning,
I feel great. I feel prepared. I’ve known this person for 25 years. How could I lose?
