By Richard Garcia 10/15/2025

New rumors or leaks are surfacing around an Avatar game, and no, it’s not the blue people one. It’s being said that Nickelodeon’s iconic animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, is likely to receive a fighting game, and it can’t get more perfect than that.

The fighting game title will also feature a single-player storyline, which is divided into five books. As exciting as it sounds, take all the information with a grain of salt.

Everything We Know About the Rumored Avatar: The Last Airbender Fighting Game

The leak surfaced via SonicLeaksTwitter on r/GamingLeaksRumors, and it’s detailed to the core. The original poster defined how the game would be and explained how the multiversal idea would play a part. To be fair, that sounds plausible; otherwise, there’s no lore to define why some characters are fighting against each other.

Moreover, the storyline is divided into five chapters, which revolve around a threat called Harmonic Rift, which is tearing the fabric of reality. Thus, colliding characters from various universes into one. The main antagonist is said to be Yuka, a pirate waterbender from Avatar Kyoshi’s era. Yuka combines ancient waterbending with modern-era technology from The Legend of Korra

.

However, Yuka isn’t working alone as she is said to partner up with the Rift spirit called Dhukah, who intends to use chaos to merge with Vaatu, the spirit of darkness and chaos, to end all realities.

The story is going well beyond kingdoms and warfare, which would be new in the Avatar series. But again, as good as it sounds, not much is known about the gameplay or art style. If a guess has to be made, it could use cel-shaded graphics.

This Could Be the Fighting Game Nickelodeon Needed

The fighting games culture has some iconic names like Street Fighter, Tekken, The King of Fighters, and more. There are even arcade hits like Smash Bros and Guacamelee. Among all these hits, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has struggled to gain the attention of the mainstream fighting game audience because it’s too arcadey.

However, that could change with the Avatar-inspired fighting game. The franchise has a huge fanbase, and the lore is impeccable. Moreover, characters in the Avatar universe have a diverse range of powers, which could translate into fun gameplay. With so much potential, the rumored game could actually go viral if the right steps are taken.

But again, in the foreseeable future, there’s also Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, which has a large cult-following as well. If the rumors about the Avatar game end up being true, then fighting game fans might have to make a tough choice.
