Satoshi Kon’s iconic Perfect Blue movie is set to be released on 4K UHD for the very first time on December 23, 2025. The announcement was made by GKIDS and Shout! Studios. The latest version will be available in a 3-disc Collector’s Edition.
The movie’s 4K remastered edition has been screening in the United States since October 3, 2025, and fans can still grab the movie.
Where to Watch Perfect Blue 4K Remastered Edition in the US
Perfect Blue 4K Remastered Edition is currently screening in US theaters. In order to watch the movie, one can head to the GKIDS official website, where there is an option to buy tickets.
The movie is streaming in both the US and Canada, so one needs to select the country and region-wise hall in order to book the tickets. The ticket pricing can vary accordingly. The movie is also available to stream on demand on Apple TV, Prime Video, Google Play, Vudu, and YouTube Movies.
The 3-disc Collector’s Edition set will be released on December 23, and GKIDS is already streaming a new trailer for the movie. The release will also include a newly subtitled 117-minute lecture by Satoshi Kon himself.
A 4K promotional video, the recording session of “Angel of your Heart” along with interviews, a 128-page booklet, 10 art cards, a poster, and trailers will be available with the set.
