How to Easily Transfer Weapons Between Characters in Borderlands 4

Borderlands 4 allows you to transfer weapons across different characters by using the bank vaults present across various Faction Towns. Although it is a straightforward procedure, one must still be aware of the limitations that come with it. For starters, the bank does not have unlimited slots, so you can not store every gun you find in it.

You don’t have to worry, though, as there is a fix for almost everything in Borderlands 4, except for the growing performance issues. Check out here to learn how to easily swap weapons/gear between characters and effectively increase the bank slots to do it often.

Steps to Transfer Weapons Between Characters in Borderlands 4

To swap weapons across Vault Hunters, you will first have to deposit them in the bank. To achieve this task, you can go to your inventory, hover over the weapon, mark it under the “Bank” filter, and press the prompt that says “Send Items to Bank.” Doing so will immediately deposit that weapon into the bank.

Since all the banks in Kairos have a shared space, you can access the weapon by interacting with any bank. You can find banks in the Faction Towns that have a piggy bank icon while you hover over them on the map. For your reference, below is a list of all the Faction Towns that have a bank in them in Borderlands 4.

Now that you know where banks can be found, you can quickly go there and withdraw the weapon of your choice. You can even change your character and withdraw a weapon that you previously stored as a different character. Long story short, you can store items from your inventory or by interacting with a bank. However, to withdraw the stored weapons, you will have to interact with the bank physically.

The earliest location that you will unlock is the Launchpad, after completing the third main story mission, Down and Outbound. Hence, ensure that you utilize the bank feature to manage your inventory space efficiently. One more thing, if you are storing a weapon in the bank, the other character should be at a sufficient level to hold it. Not meeting the level requirements will keep you from equipping it.

How to Increase Bank Slots in Borderlands 4

Remember when we said that the bank does not have infinite slots to store items? To solve this issue, you can buy more slots by spending SDU Tokens. It is a type of currency that you can earn by completing missions, side-missions, Auger Mines, etc.

Once you have accumulated enough SDU Tokens, head over to the SDU tab in the menu. From there, you can scroll down and purchase upgrades for the bank. Upgrading the bank will also increase the slots. Just a small reminder, the upgrades will become costly each time you purchase them, so make sure to complete missions and earn enough of this currency.

So, who is the luckiest Vault Character that is going to get a different weapon today in Borderlands 4? Let us know in the comments.
