Actress and beauty queen Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly ready to make hundreds of millions of big bucks soon – but not from any Avengers film, but rather, from her online company, Goop. Turns out, the actress turned entrepreneur, 52, is apparently quietly looking to walk in the steps of peers Hailey Bieber and Reese Witherspoon, and unload her racy company.
According to an insider’s claims to RadarOnline.com,
Gwyneth isn’t a billionaire, but her stake in Goop is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Even with CAA helping her hunt for buyers, Gwyneth would like a deal that’s at least comparable to the $900 million Reese got. She’d rather hang onto control than settle for a bargain-basement purchase price.
For those who might not know, both Hailey Bieber and Reese Witherspoon were able to successfully cash in their companies for megabucks. While Bieber sold her beauty brand Rhode to e.l.f. Beauty for a whopping $1 billion in May, a few years ago, Witherspoon managed to nab a sweet $900 million for her company, Hello Sunshine, in 2021 (per RadarOnline.com).
Now, it appears that the Iron Man actress is hoping to get those same massive paychecks through her own company. A wellness and lifestyle brand, Goop was initially launched as a weekly e-mail newsletter before expanding into e-commerce, collaborating with fashion brands, and hosting pop-up shops. It even has a print magazine, podcast, and a docuseries on Netflix.
Gwyneth Paltrow Won’t Sell Goop “Unless it can play as a win for her”
While Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly hoping to cash in some big bucks from Goop, insiders also claim she won’t be settling for any less, and that she’s even willing to hold onto her company until she gets an offer she’s actually satisfied with. As the source went on to say to RadarOnline.com,
Gwyneth’s pride means she’s not going to accept a lowball offer or anything that can be perceived in the press that way. She won’t sell unless it can play as a win for her and her team.
But that might turn out to be a problem as well. As the insider continued to point out, there’s also “a version of this whole situation where Gwyneth goes down with the ship.”
This is because her company, which sells lingerie and candles, among other items, isn’t exactly at its peak enough to be sold off at a good price, especially after the actress was reportedly forced to restructure and conduct layoffs. The source said,

So far, there’s no confirmation about Gwyneth Paltrow’s return to Avengers: Doomsday. However, she did spark some rumors and speculation about her possible appearance in the near future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe when an image of her dining with Robert Downey Jr. recently broke the internet.
In the picture, the longtime co-stars were standing together at TenGoku Aburiya, a MICHELIN-recognized Japanese izakaya in Chicago. While she was clad in a black blazer over a white shirt with blue jeans, Robert Downey Jr. went for an orange outfit with a red cap and apron. This photo was more than enough to have fan theories springing up about Paltrow’s potential return.
Plus, in April, scooper @MyTimeToShineH on X claimed that the Goop queen was reportedly in talks to reprise her role as Pepper Potts for an upcoming MCU project. Not to mention, a month before that, she herself took to her Instagram handle to address the fan question about whether she was “coming back to the MCU.” She said (via Deadline),
