Ghost of Yotei has been long-awaited by PlayStation owners after finishing masterful Ghost of Tsushima. This time around, we’re getting a brand new protagonist named Atsu and discovering her story of vengeance. However, the game will be available exclusively on PS5. Which begs the question, will it see a PC release anytime soon?

When Can Sony Release Ghost of Yotei for PC?

Sony hasn’t announced a PC release for Ghost of Yotei just yet, but if history is any indication, we could see one within the next two years. The company has followed a consistent pattern of porting its biggest titles to PC after a timed exclusivity window, sometimes two years, sometimes even earlier.

Take Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as an example, which arrived on PC only a year and three months after its PlayStation debut. Given Ghost of Yotei

‘s level of anticipation, there’s a solid chance we’ll see it on PC sooner rather than later. That said, not every title makes the jump; Bloodborne remains one of the most notable holdouts from Sony, followed by Infamous.

It’s also possible that Sony rushed the port release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 due to Insomniac’s iconic data breach, which led to third-party modders porting the game instead. So the release timing might be delayed for Ghost of Yotei.

Still, Sony has gradually moved away from the idea of lifetime exclusivity for first-party games. As recently as 2023, they reaffirmed their commitment to bringing more titles to PC in the future. So while Ghost of Yotei‘s eventual PC release feels likely, the only real question left is when.

Sony Has No Reason Not To Release Ghost of Yotei on PC

Sony’s push to bring first-party games to PC has proven to be extremely profitable. Data from 2025 shows that titles like Helldivers 2 and Stellar Blade shattered player count records, which directly translated into strong sales performance.

The financial reports (via TweakTown) back this up as well. In Sony’s first-quarter earnings for 2025, the company reported $1.024 billion in profit—nearly double the $607 million from the previous quarter.

While Sony still treats the PC audience as secondary to its PlayStation base, the soaring profits tell a clear story. With momentum this strong, there’s little reason for Sony to back away from releasing PC ports of its most iconic franchises.
