While hype is at an all-time high around Ghost of Yotei, Sucker Punch hasn’t forgotten about the classic that made the franchise special. Ghost of Tsushima is receiving a free DLC update for the Legends gamemode, which allows you to churn out more gameplay value out of it.
Not only that, Ghost of Tsushima also got full Steam Deck verification, with some additional technical improvements to let you enjoy the journey on the go.
Sony Strikes Again With a Stern PSN Requirement for Ghost of Tsushima Legends

If you own Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, you can play the Legends mode separately without additional purchases. The separation has been made to optimize it further. Regardless, if you’re a fan of the Legends mode, you’ll know how to activate the DLC before playing.
Sadly enough, while many have problems with Sony’s fascination with PlayStation Network, it’s a mandate to play it. If PSN isn’t available in your region, you will not be able to play the Legends mode.
On the other hand, you’ll be able to play the single-player campaign without needing a PSN account. There was a bug that prevented players from enjoying the single-player aspect, but that issue has now been resolved.
Ghost of Tsushima Is Now More Optimized for the Steam Deck

The biggest highlight of the recent update is Sucker Punch, making Ghost of Tsushima fully playable on Steam Deck. The recent update has been designed to improve the performance and add technical improvements to make it silky smooth. If you use the Lossless Scaling app as well, you’re in for a great experience.
Alongside that, a lot of under-the-hood bug fixes were made to the Steam version as well. If that’s not enough, the patch even adds an option for Steam Deck-optimized graphics settings, so that you get the best output alongside performance.
Additionally, since the Steam Deck has a small screen, a new game UI scaling option has been added. So all the small UI boxes are more visible and provide a better experience while playing the game. All the changes together make the title way more playable on the handheld, which is a plus for owners.
That was everything you needed to know about the newest Ghost of Tsushima update. Are you going to play the Legends mode separately, or want to enjoy the story on a handheld? Share with us in the comments below, we’d love to know.
