Dany Garcia recently uploaded a video on her official Instagram page. The clip showcased her from her rowing days at the University of Miami, which transitioned to her lifting weights in the gym. Captioning the post, Garcia wrote:
Sports were never the destination—they were the doorway. From rowing at UMiami, all the way to my time as an IFBB Pro, each season’s true gift was time in the weight room. For me, training wasn’t just preparation; it was the reward. Every meet, every practice, gave me access to the place I felt most grounded: the weight room. While others chased medals, I chased progress under the barbell. That quiet love of the process became my foundation for all things I do.
Dany Garcia takes bodybuilding very seriously and follows a very disciplined and structured approach. Since she also jointly runs Seven Bucks Productions alongside The Rock, she ensures that she doesn’t have to sacrifice anything.

Speaking to Forbes in a September 2019 feature, the 56-year-old revealed that she does a lot of preliminary work. Moreover, she tries to plan everything 24 months in advance. At the same time, the IFBB Pro Bodybuilder and her team prepare for her bodybuilding contests with nine months to prepare.
During this time, she eats seven carefully designed meals every day. She also trains for two hours in the gym, has three daily intense cardio sessions, and works on her posing. Aside from this, her team helps her with chiropractic routines, infrared saunas, massages, and meditation.
Why Is Dwayne Johnson Losing Weight Right Now?
Dwayne Johnson sports a big and muscular build. Right now, however, the Samoan wrestler has a lighter and slimmer frame. According to People, The Rock is modifying his physique for an upcoming Hollywood project. Speaking at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival’s “In Conversation With…,” Johnson said:
We’re gonna make a film called Lizard Music, which is based off of a novel written by Daniel Pinkwater… (My role) is a very whimsical and eccentric 70-something-year-old man called the Chicken Man. And his best friend is a 70-something-year-old chicken… I’m so excited because I get a chance to hopefully transform again, like I was able to do in Smashing Machine. Can’t wait.
Notably, Lizard Music will also be directed by The Smashing Machine’s director, Benny Safdie. The Rock already went through a big transformation for the Mark Kerr biopic while also training in MMA. The Final Boss also noted that he still has a long way to go before he completely embodies the lean physique of the Chicken Man.
The Rock and His Current Relationship With Dany Garcia
The Rock and Dany Garcia exchanged wedding vows in May 1997. The Rock had made his WWE debut just six months before his marriage to Garcia in November 1996. The couple had a daughter and named her Simone. She is now the NXT General Manager, Ava.
After ten years of staying married, the couple decided to peacefully part ways in June 2007 and got divorced in May 2008. Despite ending their marriage, Dany Garcia and Dwayne Johnson still share a healthy professional relationship.
Both of them jointly own the Seven Bucks Production. Moreover, Garcia is also the manager of The Brahma Bull. The WWE Superstar has often credited his ex-wife as a significant reason for the success of his career in acting and his transition to Hollywood from pro wrestling.
