Human beings may have created Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make certain tasks easier, but the world has also witnessed several instances of untoward usage of the technology. A day ago, the online community experienced a similar incident as an AI video featuring the late NBA icon, Kobe Bryant, went viral on X (via PurpGolded on X).
Several fans condemned such insensitive use of AI, including the assistant professor at Toronto Metropolitan University, Travonne Edwards (via Travonne on X). However, miscreants have been rampant in using AI to create videos of late celebrities, including WWE stars like Eddie Guerrero.
What Does Eddie Guerrero’s AI Video Show?
The viral AI video featuring Bryant showcased the NBA legend in a rather unbecoming setup. While the LA Lakers star ruled the basketball courts in reality, the video featured him as a streamer enjoying virtual basketball. On the contrary, the creator of Guerrero’s AI video used ‘Sora’, OpenAI’s video generation platform, to present a much more engaging situation for the viewers.
Latino Heat’s untimely demise in 2005 shocked the WWE community, as fans expected him to continue delivering in-ring showdowns for several more years. The creator realized the ardent fans had to watch Guerrero in action once more and created a video showcasing the WWE star’s return to the promotion with his signature smile on his face.

Like Bryant and Guerrero’s videos, a few AI clips of the late American rapper Tupac Shakur are flying around the web. While many viewers are impressed by them, others don’t shy away from discouraging the use of AI for such purposes. Well, such videos might not be specifically harmful for any individual, but AI can also be destructive if used unjudiciously.
AI’s Attack on Humans
The introduction of AI has considerably impacted various sectors, resulting in several employees being removed from their posts. However, the technology has also showcased that it wouldn’t refrain from attacking humans if not used with a high degree of efficiency.
The crowd at the Spring Festival Gala in Tianjin, China, witnessed a startling incident involving an AI robot attacking one of the audience members. The AI robots were part of the festival’s security team, and one of them went out of control and attacked the spectator.
