My Hero Academia season 8 has begun airing, and some pretty huge battles are already underway. This season marks the grand finale of the franchise, and it has plenty of high-stakes fights. This season will deliver the chaos and conclusion that fans have waited for years.

So far, two episodes of the season have been released, and the more explosive clashes are yet to be animated. There are a total of four major battles in the final season, all of which have been ranked according to their intensity and impact.

4. Deku vs Tomura Shigaraki

The Deku vs Shigaraki battle is continued from season 7, and in My Hero Academia season 8, the battle sees an end. Towards the end of the battle, Deku tries to reach the crying child within the villain. He counters the attacks by using his vestiges and triggers Tomura’s memories. Deku witnesses his tragic origin story and his accidental activation of the Decay quirk, and also the fact that everything was orchestrated by AFO.

3. All Might vs All For One Finale

My Hero Academia season 8 will animate the battle between the quirkless All Might and All For One. All For One fights in an armored suit. The two have some back and forth before AFO counters with a barrage of attacks by using multiple Quirks. All Might tries to freeze the AFO wand and unleash a laser, which ultimately fails. AFO emerges as a young version and counters with energy blasts.

All Might reaches the brink of destruction and is paralyzed, but the battle is interrupted by Bakugo, who saves All Might by blasting off AFO’s arms.

2. Katsuki Bakugo vs All For One

During the final arc, Bakugo faces All For One. Despite suffering a fatal injury from Shigaraki that will push him to the brink of death, he will be revived by a team member. His injuries will cause him a lot of pain, but he still keeps going.

All For One gets enraged by Bakugo’s resilience and efforts, and the latter paces AFO. Bakugo then counters with an explosion inside AFO’s mouth, which disrupts his powers. Because of Bakugo, AFO’s Quirk Factors become destabilized. It is Bakugo who pushes AFO to the brink before signaling Deku to take over.

1. The Heroes vs. All For One

This is the penultimate battle of My Hero Academia season 8. It is fought between the heroes and the reborn All For One. In this battle, the Pro Heroes, students of UA, as well as students from Ketsubutsu, Shiketsu, and all the remnants of OFA, fight against a single villain.

It is also one of the turning points of the series, as Tomura Shigaraki will be redeemed.
