One of modern Shonen masterpieces, Chainsaw Man, is back with its latest sequel canon film, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, which will soon premiere in U.S. theaters on October 24, 2025. This movie adapts the Bomb Devil Arc from the manga, widely acclaimed as one of the best arcs. Below is a list of every important character you’ll see in the movie, along with a table mentioning their voice actors near the end of the article.
1. Reze
As the title of the movie itself suggests, Reze takes the lead role, apart from our boy Denji, of course. She will be the love interest that Denji falls for, triggering an existential crisis for him. Her charm and uncanny beauty will confuse Denji in choosing between her and Makima. Any further details about her character would be a spoiler.
2. Makima
The ever-mysterious Makima will once again have some spotlight in the movie. As the leader of the Public Safety Devil Hunter organization, she swears to kill devils and save as many people as possible. Although the full extent of her powers hasn’t been shown in the anime yet, the movie might give us a glimpse.
3. Denji
Denji is… well, Denji. Not your typical by-the-books main character, his very presence in the storyline feels like a charm. Devoid of any grand life goal, he simply aims to live a happy life, with enough sleep and good food. That may sound like the bare minimum, but given his early life, it’s more than enough for him.
But being the Chainsaw Man comes with a great deal of uncertainty of getting killed. In Season 1, he faced multiple enemies after the Chainsaw Devil’s heart, and that threat might also be relevant in the movie.
4. Pochita
Pochita is essentially the Chainsaw Devil that everyone is after. The anime hasn’t explained exactly why yet, but everyone is after Denji’s heart, which is now infused with Pochita’s. In the movie, we may also see more flashbacks of the heartfelt moments between Pochita and Denji.
5. Aki
Aki (full name Aki Hayakawa) is another major character in the Chainsaw Man series who will also appear in the movie. As one of the Devil Hunters, he has sworn to kill the Gun Devil. Upon making a contract with the Future Devil, his lifespan may have been shortened by past events, yet his resolve hasn’t weakened one bit.
6. Power
Previously introduced in Season 1, Power is a Fiend – a hybrid between a human and a devil. She was formerly the Blood Devil, but now takes a human form and hasn’t changed since. She has above-average intelligence compared to other devils and is a somewhat unreliable partner for Denji.
7. Kishibe
Kishibe is humanity’s strongest Devil Hunter, as stated in the series itself. In Season 1, he trained Denji and Power in Aki’s absence, helping them hone their skills. He’s a cool and calm character whose very presence feels heavy every second on screen. Interestingly, he suspects that Makima is lying about her motives, as seen in Season 1.
8. Kobeni
Kobeni is a timid Devil Hunter who works mainly for her salary. With no better job options, she was essentially forced into the role. Although she possesses inhuman combat skills, she becomes an absolute coward when facing devils. Against other humans, however, she fights like a beast.
9. Beam
Beam is the Shark Devil, who will be introduced in the movie for the first time. He can swim beneath solid surfaces. Makima will introduce him to Denji as his new partner, while Aki is paired with the Angel Devil. Beam also has a strange obsession with the Chainsaw Man for reasons that are still unknown.
10. Angel
Angel, aka the Angel Devil, also works with the Devil Hunter Association. Even in the previous season, he was seen as unmotivated to do anything, let alone harm humanity. But his power should not be underestimated. Just a single touch from Angel can shorten your remaining lifespan. It’ll be interesting to see how Aki manages to deal with him.
11. Galgali
Also known as the Violence Devil, Galgali thrives on pure chaos. He also works under the Devil Hunter Organization and has sided with humanity for his own personal gain. But little is known about just how important he’ll be in the movie.
