Now, a source has told Radar Online that Trump is “dealing with more pain than he admits publicly. His hips and knees have been bothering him for a while, and he’s trying to keep it under wraps.“
According to the people close to him, Trump might need surgery, perhaps in both hips, if he wants to stay mobile. While the President does not like to seem vulnerable, the insider added that “it’s clear he’s not moving like he used to“, and that “he steadies himself more often now and takes his time when walking.”
As per the source, Trump is also exhibiting “worrying signs” of cognitive decline. An anonymous associate of the President stated that he has been blanking on things “he used to remember right away“, such as names, dates, and basic details. While it’s “not dramatic
Experts’ Opinions on Donald Trump’s Health: Knock Knee, Parkinson’s, and More
Coming to what a scientist/rehabilitation specialist has had to say about Donald Trump’s supposedly worsening health, the 79-year-old man is showing signs of a condition known as ‘knock knee’, or ‘bilateral knee valgus’. In such a condition, the knees angle inward, touching each other, while the ankles stay far apart.
It is a misalignment that may cause joint strain and chronic pain, and “only get worse” with time. The scientist explained how the condition could lead to arthritis (Radar Online):
“He appears to have knees that angle inward, which adds strain to the hips and lower back. At his age and height, that kind of alignment can quickly lead to arthritis and lasting mobility problems.“
They added that the constant sitting, travel, and heavy reliance on golf carts instead of walking may be contributing factors to Trump possibly developing “notable muscle weakness.”
Another physician told the outlet that his movements may point to a “degenerative condition impacting motor function“, such as “Parkinson’s or even early dementia-related motor issues.”
Contradicting Claims About the President’s Health — What Has Donald Trump’s Doctor Said?
A lot of people have had a lot to say about Donald Trump’s health. For starters, Doctor Aseem Malhotra, a British cardiologist, addressed the Make America Healthy Again lobby group that Trump’s medication might have something to do with his fatigue (via Independent).
He stated, “President Trump is taking statins; he’s on two cholesterol drugs… This man does not have any cardiovascular disease. If you’re over 75 and have no cardiovascular disease, the benefit of statin is…One in 446. You have to give the statin to 446 people to prevent one cardiovascular event. In other words, no significant benefit.“
Dr. Malhotra praised Trump, calling him a remarkable man, and added that while reports about his health may be exaggerated “by some sort of devious press“, people close to the President believe that he could be “slowing down“, perhaps due to the statins.
Moreover, his physician, Navy Capt. Dr, Sean Barbabella stated that Trump is in “exceptional health“(via WUSF). In a memo released in August, Barbabella wrote, “President Donald J. Trump remains in exceptional health, exhibiting strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and physical performance.”
Meanwhile, Trump’s team has also squashed rumors of his health, calling it the doing of “deranged and morally bankrupt liberals” and the “corrupt media” (via Radar Online). Campaign spokesman Steven Cheung added that not Trump, but his critics seem to be suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
