Crown Jewel 2025: What Did an Angry Roman Reigns Say to Jey Uso After Losing to Bronson Reed?

By Steven Smith 10/11/2025

The massively anticipated WWE Crown Jewel began with the coveted Australian Street Fight between Roman Reigns and the local star, Bronson Reed. However, the crowd’s reception for the OTC didn’t let him feel like he was in enemy territory, as Reigns walked out to a massive crowd pop.

Reigns looked in prime control of the match from its beginning. However, multiple interferences in the match changed its course drastically. Surprisingly, The Usos, known to be Reigns’ ally, ultimately became the reason behind his defeat.

Jey Uso Caused the Catastrophic Defeat for Roman Reigns

Reigns took the upper hand in the match right from the initial moments, subjecting Reed to a plethora of moves. He hurt the local star initially by pushing him into the ringposts and landing thudding blows.

Reigns was cruising towards a victory when Reed’s The Vision partner, Bron Breakker, came out of nowhere to hit Reigns with a spear. What followed was carnage for Reigns, as Reed and Breakker sent Reigns through the announce table, leaving him in a seriously compromised condition.

After a few more minutes of Reed and Breakker’s teamed assault on Reigns, The OTC received help from his tribal followers, The Usos, who took out Breakker as soon as they entered the fray.

Jimmy and Jey regained control over the match as Reigns got back in action. However, a misplaced spear from Jey sent the OTC through a table, providing Reed a chance to capitalize. The Australian made the most of the opportunity by hitting the compromised Reigns with a Tsunami and scoring a pinfall victory over Reigns.

The OTC looked visibly disgusted after his defeat to Reed following Jey’s unintentional spear. Reigns took out his frustration on The Usos, stating,

What did I tell you? The whole world thinks I can’t do s*it on my own. I told you I’m gonna do this alone. I get it, I get it. I want you to be there for me, but this ain’t the old times [when we were a team]. This whole thing works when we win. I told you, it only works one way.

The Usos looked visibly distressed by Reigns’ apathy as Jey exclaimed, “no matter what,” Reigns would always “be him.”

Total Mayhem at the Australian Street Fight Between Bronson Reed and Roman Reigns

Reigns also looked in the proper mood for a street fight, as he showed more interest in beating his opponent up than defeating him with a count. As a result, the match between Reigns and Reed went to various places outside the ring, including fighting in the crowd with garbage cans.

Reigns also used a variety of other items to hurt Reed, like a cricket bat, a chair, a kendo stick, and more. However, the table that Reed brought to the ring ultimately spelled doom for him as Jey speared him through it unintentionally.

Reigns’s fans may have enjoyed the initial moments of the match, but the ending might have left many of them with a bad taste in their mouths. What do you think about the Australian Street Fight that kicked off Crown Jewel? Let us know in the comments below.
