WWE Superstar Seth Rollins fought Cody Rhodes for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship. The Visionary turned the tables on The American Nightmare and defeated him to win the special annual title before the fans in Perth, Australia. Interestingly, in doing so, he also broke a humiliating streak that was longer than The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak.
Seth Rollins registered his first-ever victory against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel. Ahead of this, he had faced The American Nightmare three times, losing all of the matches. Additionally, if the non-televised shows are also considered, Rollins had a losing streak of 22-0 against Rhodes. This is just slightly above The Undertaker’s previously undefeated WrestleMania streak of 21-0.
@WWERollins has done it. He broke the streak. All hail your new WWE Men's Crown Jewel Champion! pic.twitter.com/y3GOVxEc3h
This time, however, The Architect used the Rolex watch that Cody Rhodes had gifted him as a token of friendship for being his Shield against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. He punched The American Nightmare on the jaw with it to escape a Cross Rhodes when the referee wasn’t looking, following with a Curb Stomp and a Super Stomp for the win.
Seth Rollins Proclaimed Himself As the Greatest of All Time
Following his win, Seth Rollins finally smiled when Triple H put the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship belt around his waist and presented the Crown Jewel ring to him. He was visibly worried ahead of this match, and Cody Rhodes had even told him that he can’t control the future of WWE.
When Cathy Kelley tried to interview Seth Rollins, he declined and said that he didn’t want to take up any of her questions. Instead, The Architect responded to The American Nightmare’s words from several weeks ago about controlling the future of WWE and said:
Because some of us dream impossible dreams. And some of us have the fortitude to reach those dreams. But there is only one man. One man! Only one man, who reaches higher than the highest. I am no longer just the greatest of my generation. I proved tonight, I’m the greatest of all time.
While it is debatable whether the new Men’s Crown Jewel Champion has achieved GOAT status, 2025 has truly been the year of Seth Rollins. Although he began the year by losing to his sworn enemy, CM Punk, on RAW’s Netflix debut, since WrestleMania 41, The Visionary has seen nothing but success.
Check out the moment below:
The Triple Threat win against CM Punk and Roman Reigns at WM41, the Money in the Bank contract win, his successful cash-in on Punk, and now his Crown Jewel Championship victory against Cody Rhodes. However, this isn’t the end of things for The Architect. In fact, he now has a grave task at hand that needs his immediate attention.
Seth Rollins Needs to Deal With Paul Heyman
Ahead of the main event of the night, where Seth Rollins fought Cody Rhodes, Bronson Reed kicked the PLE off with an Australian Street Fight match against Roman Reigns. The match saw Bron Breakker interfering in the final minutes, even overpowering The Usos, enabling Reed to defeat The OTC.
Following this, Paul Heyman had a backstage meeting with The Unpredictable Bad**s and The Auszilla. He congratulated both of them for the big win, but also asked them not to help Seth Rollins during his match against Cody Rhodes. Thus, The Oracle took a clear stance against the leader of The Vision.
It should also be noted that Reed and Breakker listened to Paul Heyman and didn’t aid The Visionary during the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship match. While the WWE Hall of Famer was likely hoping that Rollins would lose, he seems to be in trouble now that The Architect has defeated Rhodes.

Thus, Seth Rollins now has to deal with three traitors when he makes his next appearance on the upcoming episode of Monday Night RAW. Paul Heyman had been acting independently for quite some time and had even reunited with Brock Lesnar, announcing him for his in-ring comeback at Wrestlepalooza against John Cena.
Now, when the serial backstabber has been caught on camera conspiring against his current leader, it remains to be seen what the new Men’s Crown Jewel Champion will do. It is also noteworthy that Rollins was a little unstable and underconfident before his match against QB1. Moreover, he had even walked out on his faction at the Crown Jewel kickoff, which had infuriated Bron Breakker.
Did you expect Seth Rollins to defeat Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel? What do you think will be The Visionary’s next move now that Paul Heyman has revealed his true colors? Pour your thoughts down in the comments.
