Anaconda Trailer: Paul Rudd and Jack Black’s Idea Goes Horribly Wrong in Reboot

Well, the day has finally come. Anaconda is getting a reboot, and the movie is about… well, rebooting Anaconda. The trailer for the upcoming movie has been released, starring Paul Rudd and Jack Black as two friends who attempt to reboot the Anaconda movie.

The film will follow 2 best friends who killed the only snake that they had for their Anaconda reboot (inside the movie). Well, things turn really scary when an actual Anaconda starts hunting them down, but hey, at least they found the footage for their film, right?

First trailer for ‘ANACONDA’, starring Paul Rudd and Jack Black.

The film follows 2 best friends who go to the rainforest to remake their favorite movie ‘Anaconda’, but are put in danger when an actual giant anaconda appears.

Well, the trailer looks highly intriguing, especially if you put Jack Black in tense situations (Jumanji, King Kong, Goosebumps). Paul Rudd shines as Ronald Griffin in the upcoming movie, and a comedic Anaconda reboot is what we needed.

Why An Unserious Anaconda is the Perfect Reboot That We Needed

Well, the Anaconda franchise is highly debatable since people love to hate it but hate to love it. From snakes that are hauntingly big to hunting for the Blood Orchid, the Anaconda films have always been a nightmare.

With the new official trailer, it seems that the franchise is taking on more of a comedic approach and creating a fusion of horror/comedy. Horror/comedy films are never a bad choice, considering that some of the most successful horror films have been comedic in some way (It, Weapons, Zombieland).

Of course, this new creative direction will have some backlash from the OG fans who prefer the violent reptiles and the unprompted attack, but it’s a chance for the franchise to experiment.
