All the Gameplay Upgrades Coming With Assassin’s Creed Mirage Valley of Memory DLC, Explained

By Thomas Martinez 10/07/2025

If you thought the story of Basim had ended with Assassin’s Creed Mirage, then you are wrong because Ubisoft just announced a massive update for the game. Yes, we are talking about the Valley of Memory DLC, which is scheduled to release on November 18, 2025, and it is a complete overhaul of the game’s core. So, without any further ado, let’s jump right into it.

What is Assassin’s Creed Mirage Valley of Memory DLC?

The Valley of Memory DLC for Assassin’s Creed Mirage is basically a free and completely unexpected story expansion that also serves as a massive gameplay upgrade. The core of the DLC takes place just before the game’s final mission, where Basim learns his long-lost father might still be alive in AlUla.

So, Basim decides to head over to AlUla for some answers, only to discover that it is being menaced by a ruthless band of robbers, and his father is nowhere to be found. Valley of Memory is taking place in an entirely new region than the original game, where you will get a completely new map. It is speculated to be roughly the size of Baghdad’s original district and packed with fresh assassination targets and multiple unique side quests.

Along with these, the coolest part of this DLC is that it comes with free gameplay upgrades, and here they are.

1. Replayable Missions

If you love being perfect with your assassinations and parkour stunts, then you are in luck because Assassin’s Creed Mirage is finally getting a replayable missions feature. You can now replay every black box mission and contract from both the main Mirage story and the new Valley of Memory DLC by heading to your objective board.

These replay missions will also come with distinct challenges that will force you to get creative and make it more enjoyable. In these challenges, you can have mandates like avoiding using Eagle Vision entirely, killing only your main target, remaining completely undetected, and doing the whole thing under a tight timer. You will also unlock exclusive in-game rewards once you complete these challenges.

2. Basim Can Finally Jump

After literally waiting for years, Ubisoft has finally decided to drop a toggle that will let you manually jump in the game, where you are in complete control of where you want Basim to actually go while jumping. This is a huge step up in making the parkour smoother, and to back this up, Ubisoft is also introducing a new control scheme that will make the parkour sequences even cleaner.

Another major change is that Basim now has the ability to perform side and back ejects, regardless of whether there is a clear landing spot or not. This means that you can chain together moves that were absolutely impossible before and make the parkouring more creative than ever in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

3. New Skill and Tool Upgrade

The Valley of Memory is also introducing a new skill in the skill tree known as the Engineer 2, which will allow him to equip all level one modifications to his tools simultaneously, so he’s walking with maximum utility. There will also be a new level three modification being added to all the tools, which means your blow dart might now penetrate armor if you upgrade to level three.

4. New Difficulty Settings

Two new difficulty levels are also being added to the game, giving you way more control over the overall challenge. This means you probably will be able to notch up the difficulty if you are feeling that the game has become too easy, or you can tone it down after a long day to have a fun experience.

These are just the highlights, and according to Ubisoft’s official blog page, there will be much more to discover once the patch notes are released.
