All 12 Genos Forms in One Punch Man, Ranked Weakest to Saitama-Level

By Thomas Martinez 10/07/2025

Genos is one of the most popular characters in One Punch Man, who keeps upgrading himself after every fight as a Cyborg. Each new form of Genos brings different weapons, speed, and defenses that make him stronger and better. While some versions are built for raw firepower, others are built for speed or special tricks.

Fans have often debated which version of Genos is strongest and how close any of them come to Saitama. Thus, here is a list of all 12 Genos forms in One Punch Man, ranked according to their power. While some are general modifications, others are proper transformations that he goes through during the series.

12. Human Form

The Human Form of Genos is the basic form before he became a cyborg in One Punch Man. He is ordinary in strength as he has no modifications and has no built-in weapons. This form shows what he was like as a normal child, but even then, he had qualities like curiosity, bravery, and determination.

It is quite obvious that, as a human, Genos has no special combat abilities or defenses. He is the weakest in this ranking because he lacks the enhancements that he gained after his parents died, and these enhancements made him dangerous in later forms. His human form was only seen during his flashback as he was narrating his story.

11. Stock Model Genos

Stock Model Genos is his first cyborg body in One Punch Man that Doctor Kuseno built for him after the incident. It has basic firepower and mechanical limbs but limited armor, taking it to the A level. This form lets Genos fight monsters better than a human, but it has the most basic Cyborg modifications.

The strengths of this form are mobility and simple shooting arms with powerful blasts, but it lacks heavy weapons and advanced systems like its other forms within the series. The Stock Model Genos is powerful, but he gets overwhelmed by stronger monsters and is quickly replaced by other upgrades.

10. Genos Mark 2

Genos Mark 2 was the first proper upgrade, which showed clear improvements, like stronger arms, better engines, and more reliable systems. It can use more powerful blasts and other significant attacks, like the machine gun blows. Mark 2 modifications show Genos becoming a powerful hero in One Punch Man.

However, even the Mark 2 had some weaknesses, like limited-range weapons and basic sensors that were not strong enough to deal with powerful enemies. Mark 2 is stronger than early models, but it was still not built for the very large threats that Genos faced later in the story.

9. Genos Anti-Saitama mode

Anti-Saitama mode is an experimental form designed specifically to test Genos’ power against Saitama in One Punch Man. It focuses on raw power with attacks like maximum gauge incineration cannon and defensive systems meant for a super-strong opponent. Still, it was more or less a failed attempt at matching Saitama’s power within the series.

Despite the name, this Genos mode is nowhere near defeating Saitama. The form may push Genos’ limits and introduce new attack power, but its real weakness is overreliance on brute force and lack of Saitama-level durability. However, this mode took Genos to a level where he was accepted as an S-level hero.

8. Genos Mark 3

Mark 3 is a more refined combat body with better weapons and improved armor, especially his arms. This transformation comes with a special mode that adds stronger energy cannons and faster servos for improved reaction. In this mode, he can even move his core from his chest to his arms, allowing him to use even powerful blasts.

However, Mark 3 still struggles against elite monsters like the Deep Sea King, who almost killed Genos in One Punch Man. It improves firepower in a major way, but it does not close the gap between him and Saitama, leaving durability and power scaling behind the hero’s true peak.

7. Arms Mode

Arms Mode focuses on augmenting Genos’ limbs for even bigger blasts and heavy strikes. In this form, he gains a special suitcase that, when used, triggers a special upgrade specifically for his arms, making them heavier, with mounted weapons and reinforced plating. It is probably the strongest Genos mode for his arms, as it allows him to generate extra firepower.

While the Arms mode is more of a modification than a transformation, it is an important power-up that changes Genos’ look. The only downside to this form is reduced mobility and less balanced systems for short-ranged combat. Arms Mode trades speed and range for brute firepower, which helps in certain fights but is not as powerful as others.

6. Genos Mark 4

Mark 4 adds major upgrades to Genos’ transformation in terms of engines and core systems, but the biggest upgrade he gets is a detachable body. Using cables, Genos can detach his body and use his limbs separately, allowing him better movement and versatility during battle. Mark 4 was a major turning point for his build quality in One Punch Man.

However, Mark 4 was a limited transformation and was changed quickly as Genos faced limits in terms of power consumption and structural weakness. It can hit harder and last longer than earlier marks, especially due to his detachability, but the Mark 4 transformation can be pushed to failure by stronger opponents.

5. Genos Mark 5

Genos Mark 5 had quite a few improvements, like targeting, energy output, and defensive layers, because he got these modifications from G4’s body after defeating him. It introduces finer control for multi-weapon use and fibre enhancements for his body. This version added a lot of firepower to Genos’ arsenal.

The biggest power-up from this form, however, was his speed. It allowed him to move at the speed of sound and match Sonic. Mark 5 is definitely a versatile transformation for Genos in One Punch Man, as it also allowed him to manipulate electricity using high-voltage vests.

4. Genos Mark 6

Genos’ Mark 6 mainly focused on strength, as this transformation was done after he was defeated by Goketsu. According to the One Punch Man storyline, Genos Mark 6 was as strong as Tanktop Master, which is a compliment in itself. Along with strength, Mark 6 also gave Genos proper detachable body parts without the cables.

He gains other attachments like arm blades and rocket boosters on his legs. He even gets a spiral incineration cannon, which is much more powerful than his previous transformations. Mark 6 is truly one of the strongest forms of Genos within One Punch Man.

3. Genos Mark 7

Mark 7 might be Genos’ coolest form in One Punch Man, majorly focused on destructive power. This form helps him a lot during the Monster Association raid as he not only gets blasts in his palms but his entire hand, including his shoulders and arms. What makes this transformation special is the fact that it was an upgrade from G4’s body.

This form allows Genos to create massive energy blasts that are capable of destroying meteors. He can even take down the upgraded version of other Cyborg characters like G5 and G4. The only problem with this form is that it allows Genos to go full power only for ten seconds.

2. Genos Mark 8

Mark 8 was a special transformation for Genos in One Punch Man as it gave him a significant boost to his power, with features including a visible, exposed energy core in his chest, which can produce a powerful, blinding flash of light and even include dangerous blasts.

The new form also provided him with increased speed that allowed him to briefly keep up with the S-Class hero Flashy Flash. Genos’ Mark 8 had enough power to defeat a Dragon-level threat, the Forest King, on his own, making it his strongest form yet.

1. Tactical Combination Dragon King

The Tactical Combination Dragon King is probably the most unique form of Genos in One Punch Man. It is a fusion transformation between Drive Knight and Genos, which allowed them to combine their cores and bodies to make the most of their limited remaining energy against an opponent within the series.

They create a new armor that is incredibly powerful, but it has a major time limit because of the limited energy in both cores. Still, it is safe to assume that this transformation might be the strongest Genos form within One Punch Man. Do you think we will get to see more Genos forms in the series? Let us know below!
