Dwayne Johnson is one of Hollywood’s most successful actors. He has also shown his talent in singing in Disney’s Moana 2, with the song You’re Welcome along with other tracks. Interestingly, The Rock also helps his wife, Lauren Hashian, in her musical endeavors.
Billboard interviewed Lauren Hashian in October 2021 ahead of the release of her debut EP, Love…and Other Things (Side A). During the interview, the 41-year-old talked about the role of Dwayne Johnson in her projects.
Most of the time when I’m making music, he is the very first person who hears anything, so he’s heard the good, the bad, the ugly… I know a lot of people look up to him, but even I look up to him, and I trust his judgment and his instincts and his experiences. So, for me, I’m so grateful that I have somebody like him, who’s also been in the business for so long, to give me his feedback and also work together.

Dwayne Johnson is teaming up with The Smashing Machine’s director, Benny Safdie, once again for Lizard Music. Although he has lost a lot of weight already, The People’s Champ noted that he was still far from the ideal weight required for his role.

Dwayne Johnson had poured a lot of effort into The Smashing Machine and was very emotionally invested in the film as well. However, while the movie has been getting positive reviews, the film isn’t doing well business-wise.
As per Collider, Mark Kerr’s biopic just earned $6 million in its opening weekend in the US. This is the lowest opening figure in The Rock’s career. The film also saw a staggering 73% drop in its second weekend. Thus, the film could become the WWE star’s lowest-performing movie with him in the lead role.

The Smashing Machine has reportedly been made with a budget of $50 million, but has only made $10 million domestically so far. Moreover, this movie was a big shift for Johnson, as he is usually seen working in family-friendly action comedies.
