With the release of Gachiakuta’s anime adaptation this summer season, it quickly became one of the most hyped action shonen of the year. It gained massive popularity even in the West; for that reason, many fans chose to watch the English dub as it was being simulcast.

As the Gachiakuta anime’s official X account posted, the English dub for the series’ second cour, starting from episode 14, will arrive much later, after a 2-week delay. The original Japanese version with English subtitles for Episode 14 already aired on October 12, 2025; however, the official English dub will now arrive on October 26.

This is certainly not what English-speaking fans expected, as the dub release schedule has been completely smooth so far. While this risks the franchise losing some avid weekly viewers, it may also push die-hard fans to catch up with the Japanese version. Why Gachiakuta’s Original Japanese Dub Is Superior to English Dub
The Dub vs. Sub has been a topic of debate for a long time now. Many English-speaking viewers, in fact, choose to watch their favorite anime in the Japanese version with English subtitles. But why? Because, in many cases, the Japanese voices feel more natural and match the vibe of the show.
The originality of any creation is hard to fully replicate when influenced by another culture, right? So, that comes into play here as well.
