By George Garcia 10/14/2025

Battlefield 6 features an impressive arsenal of weapons for players to use in infantry combat. However, weeding out the best from the rest is crucial to tear through every battlefield you dive into. If you want swift kills and meta-dominating excellence, here are the 10 best guns in Battlefield 6 that you should be leveling up before anything else.

1. M4A1

The M4A1 in Battlefield 6 is a monster of a carbine, and the fact that you can unlock it at Rank 2 makes it even better. With an aggressively high fire rate of 900RPM and two modes — semi-auto and automatic, it’s a no-brainer to level it up as soon as you get your hands on it. Despite a considerable recoil, it’s effective in every situation on the battlefield.

2. M1014

The M1014 Shotgun in Battlefield 6 is a semi-automatic force of machinery that can be unlocked at Rank 42. While its range can certainly use some work, it’s devastating in close-quarter combat with its incredibly high damage output. Kill enemies at close range with a single shot, and if you want to be a serious nightmare to your opponents, level up the M1014 with your eyes closed.

3. KV9

KV9 is an elite SMG with negligible recoil in Battlefield 6, making it a perfect gun for aggressively gunning down enemies in auto, burst, and single fire modes. However, the KV9’s biggest pro is its ridiculously high fire rate and damage output. Additionally, you can put Hollow Point ammo on this gun for increased headshot damage. Don’t hesitate to level it up once you unlock it at Rank 45

4. SCW-10

The SCW-10 in Battlefield 6 is another top-tier SMG with an incredibly high fire rate of 800RPM. Despite having an abysmal magazine size, it can effortlessly kill enemies at short range. It’s the perfect weapon for a run-and-gun playstyle, as it helps you aim precisely when moving around. You’ll be reloading a lot with this weapon, so be sure to level it up once you get it through the Assignment Close Quarters 1 for improved magazine capacity.

5. TR-7

The TR-7 in Battlefield 6 is a master at shredding, featuring a fire rate of 720 and fantastic damage output. However, its biggest disadvantage is its extremely high recoil, which hinders control. But if you can learn to use it properly, you can melt any target within seconds, so level it up as soon as you unlock it at Rank 50.

6. M87A1

The M87A1 Shotgun is a pump-action beast, excelling at mid-range combat. However, it can easily one-shot targets at close range, thanks to its impressive damage output. It falls short at longer ranges, but when it comes to 1v1s and maps tailored for close-quarter combat, look no further than the M87A1. It’s the starting Shotgun, so level it up as soon as you begin your Battlefield 6 journey.

7. M44

The M44 is a terrific pistol in Battlefield 6 despite having a less-than-stellar rate of fire and magazine capacity. The high recoil also makes it harder for players to control, but its ranged potential is insane, and the gun can easily take out enemies in 2 to 3 shots at any range. It’s a trusty sidearm that you should level up immediately after unlocking it at Rank 48.

8. SVK-8.6

As a DMR, the SVK-8.6 in Battlefield 6 is dangerous as it can two-shot enemies at almost any range. While it doesn’t boast an exceptional fire rate, it does have a considerable magazine size, so you can easily dish out high-damage shots without having to reload constantly. It unlocks at Rank 33, so you can start leveling it up once you reach that rank.

9. SG 553R

The SG 553R is a versatile and consistent carbine with one of the highest DPS in Battlefield 6, making it an effective and powerful gun. With a fire rate of 720, it can be truly terrifying in mid-range combat, shredding through enemies within seconds. It’s unlocked through the Danger Close 2 Assignment, and thanks to its immense damage output, the SG 553R is worth leveling up first.

10. QBZ-192

The QBZ-192 in Battlefield 6 is a splendid carbine with a fantastic damage output and a formidable 770 fire rate. Despite having a high recoil, the QBZ is versatile and works in any situation. Controlling it in both auto and semi-auto modes requires work, so equip the right attachments, and you’re good to go. Unlock it through the Danger Close 2 Assignment and focus on leveling it up as much as possible.
