Leaked Helldivers 2 Mission Will Finally Let Us Obliterate the Terrifying Automaton Fleet Destroyer

By Brian Jackson 10/14/2025

Super Earth’s finest are about to graduate from stomping individual bots to obliterating entire capital ships. A fresh Helldivers 2 leak from dataminer Dripku shows nearly ten minutes of gameplay footage featuring a “Destroy Automaton Fleet Ship” mission that lets players commandeer Orbital Cannons against one massive Automaton Fleet Destroyer:

The video description notes “unknown when this will come (unfinished mission),” meaning Arrowhead hasn’t scheduled this for any specific update yet. Given the studio’s current focus on fixing performance issues rather than dropping new content, the timing remains anyone’s guess. But the footage exists, it’s playable, and it’s absolutely happening. Eventually.

Helldivers 2′s Orbital Cannons Finally Earn Their Keep Against Bots

If you’ve fought squids recently, you already know how this works. Hack into the Orbital Cannon, make it aim at the giant Illuminate Overship, and pull the trigger. Arrowhead was obviously proud of the system enough to repurpose it for bot fleet destruction, which makes perfect sense given what we’re actually shooting at this time.

The Automaton Fleet Destroyer isn’t some random dropship you can mag dump into submission with your Autocannon, after all. These are FTL-capable capital warships with enough firepower to threaten entire planetary defense networks without even landing.

That said, this latest leak ties back to September 2024’s Iron Fleet Automaton datamine. Chrome-plated bots with mirror surfaces, potentially immune to lasers, showed up in files months ago. That’s the bot space navy rather than ground forces, and Fleet Destroyers are likely their main capital ships.

The timing lines up perfectly with recent Cyberstan revelations, too. High Command confirmed Vessel 00 departed from the bot homeworld back in 2180, establishing Cyberstan as ground zero for the Automaton threat. Wiping out their Fleet Destroyers becomes the obvious first step before any ground invasion can succeed. You can’t exactly drop Helldivers onto a planet when bot warships keep vaporizing Super Destroyers before they breach atmosphere.

The Helldivers 2 Leaker Is Dead, Long Live the Leaker

IronS1ghts retired from datamining on October 6th, leaving a void in the Helldivers 2 leaks community that, to many, felt like losing managed democracy itself. After months of delivering intel on future Factory Worlds, Automaton superweapons, and Illuminate Cultists, they vanished into whatever OPSEC studies consume former leakers.

But before departing, they did something unexpected. “I may not be leaking. @Dripku has watch over you all now. You’re in good hands,” IronS1ghts wrote in the Helldivers 2 Leaks Discord before announcing retirement on their X account. A deliberate handoff to someone they’d vetted and trusted to continue the work.

Dripku’s Fleet Destroyer leak proves that trust wasn’t misplaced. Ten minutes of clean, playable mission footage doesn’t materialize from random file scraps or lucky texture dumps. You need proper access to dev builds and enough technical knowledge to extract meaningful gameplay—and IronS1ghts clearly saw Dripku had both before passing leadership.

Of course, nobody knows if this mission drops before Liberty Day on October 26th or gets buried under technical debt fixes for months. What’s certain is that whenever it arrives, using Super Earth’s own artillery to obliterate bot capital ships will feel absolutely incredible.

Can Dripku match IronS1ghts’ legendary leak track record, or will the well run dry without the original GOAT? Let us know in the comments below!
