One Punch Man: Garou’s Ultimate Eldritch-Horror Form That Rivals Saitama Won’t Be in Season 3

The third season of One Punch Man has finally begun, and aside from Saitama, the one character that fans are desperate to see evolve is Garou, the villain of the series. Throughout the manga, Garou has a bunch of different forms, but his ultimate form is definitely the Cosmic Fear Mode. Sadly, One Punch Man fans won’t get to see the form in season 3.

It was confirmed that One Punch Man season 3 will have a total of 12 episodes, and considering the story development in the manga, it is safe to assume that the anime will not be able to adapt it. The series might take quite some time for Garou to reach his final form, which even rivals Saitama.

Garou’s Ultimate Form Won’t Appear Until Season 4

Garou’s ultimate form is revealed in the manga when he has a small interaction with god and thus gains next-level powers. In the story, it is witnessed during the latter half of the Monster Association arc. This form is so powerful that at the time, it was compared to Saitama’s strength, which, as One Punch Man

fans know, is certainly no small feat.

However, the anime won’t feature it until the next season. Currently, One Punch Man is adapting the Monster Association arc, which is the longest arc in the series. It started in season 2 and will be covered mainly in season 3, but still, it won’t be able to reach the point where Garou started his transformation. It could potentially become a major cliffhanger for One Punch Man Season 4, thus creating an even bigger hype for the series.

Considering the time One Punch Man took to release season 3, it is safe to assume that season 4 won’t be revealed or released any time soon. Fans will have to wait for a few years to see Garou’s Cosmic Fear Mode being adapted in the anime. Still, season 3 will have a lot of different thrilling developments that will keep fans interested.

How Strong Is Cosmic Garou Compared to Saitama?

Garou’s Cosmic Fear Mode is essentially depicted as a void of stars, galaxies, and cosmic dust, giving it a menacing and terrifying presence. While this transformation brought Garou back to the size he was originally, he is on a completely different level in terms of powers compared to other One Punch Man villains. The form is so powerful that it even has a separate mode called Saitama mode, which allows him to copy Saitama’s moves.

However, even in this form, Garou was not a match for Saitama as the One Punch Man protagonist got serious against him. He kept growing during their battle, which made Garou realize that he would never be able to catch up with him. Still, the fact that Garou is mentioned on the same level as Saitama highlights just how terrifying and impressive his transformation truly is.

Garou’s Cosmic Fear Mode is considered to be a god level threat, and it will certainly be one of the greatest moments in anime’s history when it is adapted. Sadly, as mentioned above, it won’t be happening anytime soon. Do you think the anime adaptation of Garou’s Cosmic Fear Mode will break the internet? Let us know below!

One Punch Man is currently available to watch on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
