Borderlands 4 was released less than a month ago, and it has already won over the entire internet with its quirky weapon designs and brutal bosses. So today, we have decided to make a guide for the Cindershelly shield, so that even you can get that glorious feeling of invincibility, even if it is for just a few seconds. Without any further ado, let’s just jump right into it.
Where to find the Cindershelly shield in Borderlands 4
The Cindershelly shield is a dedicated drop from the Backhive boss, who can be found at the end of “The Claim” auger mine in the Fadefields. To find “The Claim” auger mine, you need to fast travel to Zadra’s safehouse and head west. Once you leave through the exit of Zadra’s Safehouse, you’ll need to go around the huge Kratch nest and then head west to find the Clave. From there, you will be able to begin the Abandoned Auger Mine.
While the Backhive might seem easy at first because of its limited moveset, defeating it literally requires everything you’ve got, and you have to keep running around the boss arena to avoid its attacks.
We recommend staying as mobile as possible and chipping out the boss’s health from a safe distance. To effectively farm for the weapon, you need to defeat Backhive and use Moxxi’s Big Encore machine to respawn the boss again.
The Cindershelly shield Stats in Borderlands 4
The Cindershelly shield is a legendary piece of gear that is sort of underrated in the entire community. This shield is manufactured by the Order, and it is an absolute powerhouse, where its unique ability is that when it gets damaged, the shield grants a Stack of Resolve, which is an effect that increases damage reduction.
This Stack of Resolve reduces damage taken by 2% per Stack, and when the energy shield breaks, it releases a Nova that deals a significant amount of damage. With each Stack of Resolve, the Nova damage increases by +20%. Other than that, this shield also grants 25% shield capacity. The shield also has another ability called Spike, which deals damage to the enemies when you receive Melee Damage while the Shield is active.
