The Story of A Wild Last Boss Appeared! So Far

The plot revolves around an MMO called Exgate Online that’s been taken over by Ruphas Mafahl (who in the anime is called Lufas Maphaahl), the unofficial final boss. She intentionally gets defeated, but the game’s goddess offers a new challenge. In classic isekai fashion, Lufas is transported into the world 200 years after her defeat. She meets Dina, her NPC advisor.

In Episode 1, she learns from Dina that the Seven Heroes who defeated her established their own kingdoms. Four have died, while three of them are alive. Moreover, her subordinates, the Twelve Heavenly Stars, have gained sentience and are going on a rampage across the world. She embarks on a journey to search for them, but she needs to do so in disguise.

Episode 2 shows that Lufas has successfully exterminated the orcs, destroying their hideout, and freeing the women being held captive. She begins to wonder why other players haven’t accepted the quest. Unfortunately, players are killed before reaching 100, making the road to 1000 (Lufas’ level) impossible.

The most grave discovery in Episode 2 is that Lufas’ defeat allowed Orm and devil-folk to invade the world. Humans are running out of places to live, and she becomes furious that the peaceful territories she created have been overturned. The 1st Heavenly Star, Aries, appears and creates an earthquake.

Given how the narrative has panned out, Lufas will most likely confront and tame Aries in Episode 3, with him joining the protagonist’s adventure. Overall, it’s an exciting premise that we can’t wait to see more of.
