“You’re being ugly”: MCU Star Calls Out Triple H and TKO’s Greedy Move in WWE

By Thomas Smith 10/07/2025

Did Paul Walter Hauser publicly call out Triple H and TKO for their sky-high ticket prices? Appearing as a guest on TMZ’s Inside the Ring podcast, the MCU star discussed how WWE has raised the ticket prices to the point where they are getting “greedy and ugly.”

Hauser bashed the wrestling promotion brand, criticized their five-match PPV strategy, and drew a comparison to being in the film called “It’s a Wonderful Life.” He said,

Times are tougher than they used to be, but the prices are going up. There’s no real humanity from a corporate perspective. To me, that’s like Mr. Potter in It’s a Wonderful Life. You’re getting greedy. Ugly. You’re being ugly by doing that. Be a real person, you d**k. How about you do this?

He continued,

Netflix, how about you give a 30% off coupon for the full year to military veterans? These are things that people can easily do. They choose not to because they don’t actually give a s**t.

The high ticket prices have always been a topic of conversation among the fans, and they have criticized Triple H over it. Sadly, the situation is not getting any better because TKO chooses to ignore fan sentiments and implement their new strategy.

TKO Aims to Continue Hiking the WWE Ticket Prices for Profit Maximization

The WWE-TKO merger seems to be the most controversial move that has left the fans divided, as they can’t seem to ignore how money-hungry the company has been in recent years. From having one too many sponsorship deals to paying lofty prices to stream the PPVs, the wrestling promotion brand keeps coming up with new methods to empty the pockets of fans.

Speaking at the annual Goldman Sachs Communacopia & Technology Conference (via Yahoo! Sports), Mark Shapiro mentioned how WWE is trailing behind UFC in terms of “ticket yield.” That was not all, he explained how Vince McMahon was focused on selling to families rather than “maximizing the opportunity.” He said,

WWE is not where the UFC yet is on ticket yield. We have our work to do there. We know we have a lot of room there because Vince McMahon was primarily pricing tickets for families and wasn’t totally focused on maxing the opportunity there.

The TKO president emphasized that their strategy has worked with UFC and was optimistic that similar results would be yielded with the wrestling promotion brand. They implemented their new strategy by inflating the prices of tickets to John Cena’s final match.

However, fans were not thrilled to hear the comments. In fact, they had far-reaching effects, as previously they had boycotted a show and were not hesitant to skip a major PPV like Money in the Bank 2025 for the same reason.

Nick Khan Laughs Off Concerns Over WWE’s Ticket Price Hike

The increasing ticket prices of the live WWE shows are no joke and have even left Randy Orton flabbergasted. With the wrestling business going global and entertaining fans worldwide, it intends to continue this by announcing that WrestleMania 43 will be held in Saudi Arabia.

However, the rise to mainstream opportunity has been weighing heavily on the pockets of the fans. In a candid moment (via X), a fan ran into Nick Khan, praising him for the product that is being shown to them and how the current prices of the show are “a lil’ crazy.” Khan playfully tackled it, stating that if the fan thinks the price is “too cheap.” Check out the clip below:

Though the WWE executive positively handled the situation, it can be expected that fans should forget the good ol’ Vince McMahon’s era, where the tickets were affordable and the PPVs were longer.

With TKO inflating the ticket prices for each show, do you think it is justifiable for them to charge such amounts from their fans? Let us know in the comments below!
