10. Charm of Mount Yotei
One of the first charms you’ll definitely want is the Charm of Yotei. It automatically reduces all incoming damage by a set amount, which increases as you level it up.
Obtaining it requires you to complete the first Reliquary of Courage puzzle found in the Yotei Grasslands, just align all the linked objects to face Mount Yotei. For upgrades, you need to solve the Mountain Reliquary puzzles.
9. Father’s Charm
Want some more out of perfect parries? Then grab Father’s Charm. This is a special gift from Atsu‘s father that lets you regenerate health every time you land a perfect marry, which is absolutely necessary for survival.
You can even pair it with the Bountry Master Armor to get two extra counterattacks after each perfect parry. Pick this charm from the shrine on the top of Mount Yotei, and upgrade it with Sumi-e paintings.
8. Mother’s Charm
Atsu’s mother also has a special item, the Mother’s Charm. What does this do? Well, it boosts the damage your arrows deal to the enemies. This makes it a perfect charm to have if you’re running a bow-focused build or prefer taking down enemies from a distance. You can obtain a fit from the shrine on the top of Mount Yotei
7. Charm of Bountiful Harvest
Resources are critical as you’ll require them to upgrade your weapons and armor. The best charm in Ghost of Yotei that can help you with this is the Charm of Bountiful Harvest. It increases the amount of wood, flowers, and plants you collect.
In our testing, we’ve found that it nearly doubles your resource yield. You can get this in the Shikotsu Woods, west of the Yotei Grasslands. You’ll naturally come to this area when you’re trying to complete the Old Trails Quest.
6. Charm of Izanagi
If you prefer to be a bit more sneaky and enjoy taking out enemies from the shadows, the Charm of Izanagi is perfect for you. This charm restores a portion of your health every time you perform an assassination.
You can find it at the Sun Peaks Shrine near the Otaru Beach. Upgrading it is quite simple, as you need to keep performing assassinations while hiding in tall grass.
5. Charm of Kanayago
Another charm that’s great for resource gathering is the Charm of Kanayago. Getting it will also increase the amount of common and rare metals, as well as black powder, that you can get from scavenging.
Getting your hands on this requires a bit of parkour to reach Fall’s Rest Shrine, which can be found in the Yotei Grasslands. We’ll recommend building outfits around these resource charms so you can gather materials when you’re out there exploring the game.
4. Charm of Assassin’s Resolve
Another great charm for stealth players in Ghost of Yotei is the Charm of Assassin’s Resolve. This makes it so that you gain a minor amount of Spirit for pulling off assassinations, which is useful for weapon skills or healing. You can easily find this farm via a Fox Den in the western Yotei Grasslands, near Tranquil Falls.
3. Charm of Kibitsuhiko
With the Charm of Kibitshukio, you can easily get those headshots. How it works is that whenever you’re lining headshots while Concentration is active, it extends the duration by a set amount.
Cocentration is a key mechanic for a number of different scenarios in the game as it lets you slow down time to get those accurate shots, and keep your enemies away. This charm comes from the Risen Fog Shrine that’s located very north of the Tokachi range. You can also upgrade it by hunting down enemies while Concentration is active.
2. Charm of Amenowakahiko
If you’ve honed your headshot skills, it’s time to get yourself the Charm of Amenowakahiko. Why should you do that? Well, it will increase the chance of you gaining Spirit whenever a headshot lands, which is useful for healing or skills.
Not only that, if you’re running any ranged build, it’s a perfect addition. Take it from the Blooming Ridge Shrine in the northwest of the Yotei Grasslands, just before the Serpent’s Pass.
1. Charm of Fatal Silence
And our final must-have charm in Ghost of Yotei is the Charm of Fatal Silence. Stealth players will love this as it makes all of your arrows completely dead silent.
This allows you to play like a true silent bow assassin, as even if you miss, your enemies won’t notice. Add something like a Dragonfly Armor, and you’ll see a lot of success. This charm is obtainable from the Gambling Den in Tehsio Ridge, the snowy area at the very top of the map.
